XeniaManager Blackscreen and Emu running in Back

Hi everyone,

I need some help with a focus issue in LaunchBox. I have my Xbox 360 library configured using the Xenia Manager .lnk method. The games launch, but I’m running into an issue with window priority.

When I start a game through LaunchBox, the startup sequence goes like this:

1. The LaunchBox Startup Screen appears.

2. It switches to the emulator window showing the shader compilation/loading bar.

3. The LaunchBox Startup Screen pops back up, fades to black, and leaves me with a blank screen.

4. The game continues running in the background—I can hear the audio playing, but the video remains hidden.

If I press Alt + Tab, I can see all active windows: the emulator, the LaunchBox Startup Screen, Xenia Manager, and LaunchBox.

If I disable the LaunchBox Startup Screen, everything runs fine. However, I’d like to keep the Startup Screen active while ensuring Xenia automatically takes foreground focus once loaded.

Has anyone encountered this or knows a workaround or setting to force Xenia to stay on top?

While holding Alt, if you tap Tab until 'the emulator' is highlighted/selected and let go of Alt, does it bring the game to the front?  Is the emulator window Fullscreen?

Set Fullscreen to on.

Xenia Settings
Select your emulator
Turn Fullscreen to On
