Tayley Posted October 11 Posted October 11 (edited) Thats it basically, im looking to accomplish something like what Steam does, add an "Hours Played" on top of each game box on the image grid (I dont want to arrange by time played, or show time played on the game details) Image for reference below: EDIT 1: Messing around with my theme, I made some progress here, but im in a deadend. PlayTime is stored in seconds, and I made my Theme show that parameter under the game (as shown in the image) , But I want to show it as Hours/Minutes/Seconds (like how the GameDetails pannel shows it) Thats how it looks now: Any idea how to progress after that? EDIT 2: This is the final result, im pretty happy with it: I was using "Game.PlayTime" instead of "Game.PlayTimeHms" (Thanks to @JoeViking245 for pointing this out) Also, added a Trigger for the "Overlay" to not show if the playtime is 0 seconds This is the code I used, in case someone else wants to integrate it in their current theme: (Can probably clean it up abit more, but as they say: "If it works, don't touch it") <!-- STEAM PLAYTIME OVERLAY POSITION --> <Border Background="#CC171D25" CornerRadius="4" Padding="6,3" HorizontalAlignment="Right" VerticalAlignment="Bottom" Margin="6"> <!-- STEAM PLAYTIME OVERLAY STYLE --> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Game.PlayTimeHms}" Foreground="#C7D5E0" FontSize="11" FontWeight="SemiBold" FontFamily="Segoe UI" /> <!-- OVERLAY VISIBILITY --> <Border.Style> <Style TargetType="Border"> <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="Visible" /> <Setter Property="Background" Value="#CC171D25" /> <Style.Triggers> <!-- HIDDEN IF PLAY TIME = 0 SECONDS" --> <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding Game.PlayTime}" Value="0"> <Setter Property="Visibility" Value="Collapsed" /> </DataTrigger> </Style.Triggers> </Style> </Border.Style> </Border> Edited October 11 by Tayley 2 Quote
cenutrio351 Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Posted Friday at 08:58 PM Hello! This sounds very interesting for me. Where I can find your theme to download it and try?, could you finish it? Second question, where exactly can I add this code in the theme that I am use it?. Many thanks. Quote
NNEMO Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago This is a really cool idea. Have you tried using Claude AI to duplicate the steam hrs played, just take a screenshot of what you want it to look like. Then upload a screenshot of where you want it specifically on your bigbox, then upload your theme files. I would just backup your theme, and let AI take a crack at it. Ive been using AI lately to modify some themes with great success. Quote

I use the theme "Ricewind", but I modified some parts myself that I dont like. If you want to try that theme with the changes above, you need to replace 2 lines (line numbers may differ): (Line 65) <!-- GAME IMAGE --> (Line 66) <Image Name="Image" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality" HorizontalAlignment="{Binding ImageHorizontalAlignment}" VerticalAlignment="{Binding ImageVerticalAlignment}" Grid.Row="0" /> with the lines: <!-- GAME IMAGE + STEAM PLAYTIME OVERLAY --> <Grid Grid.Row="0"> <Image Name="Image" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality" HorizontalAlignment="{Binding ImageHorizontalAlignment}" VerticalAlignment="{Binding ImageVerticalAlignment}" /> and then paste the wall of text on my first post just below AS ALWAYS, BACKUP YOUR THEME BEFORE MODIFYING ANYTHING PLEASE!!! Yeah I tried something like that, wasnt able to do it, and this ended to be more of my liking (I preffer it to be in the corner rather than in the center, and full inside the box art aswell), also was really easy to modify and add into my current theme without much trouble. Thanks for the suggestion, i'll try that if I want to modify something else! Edited 1 hour ago by Tayley Quote
