Mame not exiting and Progress Bar questions

I have a couple questions if anyone knows the answers it would be a great help.

1st is Mame not exiting from Pause screen, I never seem to get the game over screen and it just displays BigBox but I can't use the controls until I Alt-Tab to Mame and press the Esc key.

2nd Does the Start game view Progress bar ever fill while loading a game, I ask this as a theme i'm working on has the logic but I cant ever see if it works.

Reference the Pause screen, does anyone know if a AHK script runs when you select the Exit game?

I don't know about the other questions.

2 ways an AutoHotkey script will run when you select Exit Game from the Pause Menu:

1. If you have something in the Exit Script section for the emulator
   • Which only executes from the Pause Menu. 
   • Exiting from the emulator window will not run 'this' script
2. If the game has an Additional Application that is set to Automatically Run After Main Application
   • Which will (should) run no matter how you exit the game
