what it is encoded as? The audio works but the video doesn't.

I know its mpg (that's format, not encoding), but what encoder did you use? It seems you used an encoder that isn't standard on Windows.

I made it with VSDC Video Maker, it works on bigbox I use the VLC Media Player. VLC shows its Video Codec is MPEG-1/2 Video (mpgv).
