  1. I was just thinking about this myself. I am not nearly savvy enough to develop a plugin on my own though. I currently have an HA dashboard that shows "Now Playing" info for all of my Fire Sticks, Xbox and Sonos speakers. Would love to incorporate Launchbox too. The other thing I was trying to solve was how to get the arcade control information image up an iPad Mini that I could incorporate into my MAME cabinet. Thought HA might be a reasonable route to go for that too.
  2. I will delete them and see what happens. I did not create those files manually, as far as I can remember. Why would this issue just pop up now if the backup files had always been there?
  3. Using your example, there is: snes.xml and snes.backup.xml The .backup files, for all systems, have old modified dates
  4. Running LB/BB on Win10. I have a decent library of ROMs from multiple systems. Everything is running well but recently I am having an issue with adding new ROMs. I have tried both scanning for added and doing a direct import. After either process the new ROMs show in the appropriate /data/platforms/“system”.xml file. I close LB and confirm that the entry is still present in the xml file. I open BB and the newly added ROMs are not present. I close BB, open the xml file and the entries for the new ROMs is gone. What can I do to remedy this?
  5. I realize this is probably a Win10 issue not a BigBox issue but hoping someone sees this that had the same issue. I am running BB on a Win10 box and my USB joystick (Mayflash) and both USB gamepads are recognized and working fine. Yesterday, I setup BB to run at Windows start by simply placing a shortcut in my startup folder. This is working fine except the Mayflash joystick, if plugged in at boot, does not work in BB until I unplug it and plug it back in. Then all is well. My gamepads work as expected even when plugged in at boot. it’s seems that having BB start with Windows is somehow causing it to boot prior to the Mayflash being connected. This seems unlikely though. Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts on how to fix?
  6. Is there a way to change the game details panel so that Release Date is just displayed as MMM DD, YYYY (Oct 21, 1985). I just want to remove the day of the week. Thanks
  7. Great. Sounds much easier. Back to you first reply: Do I have to change something in MAME to use keystrokes? How do I set “no keys” in the RetroArch config? I may be interested in setting my config up like yours. I may want to use the arcade controls for Atari 2600 games
  8. The Mayflash is only temporary until I build my cabinet. Then it will be replaced with the miniPac. No other devices will be used for MAME. The two game pads will stay plugged in but will only be used RetroArch console emulators. Does than mean that I need to set static key mappings so that the miniPac is static?
  9. So in doing it this way, will I be able to leave the gamepads plugged in all the time? I am trying to avoid having to plug and unplug. Right now I am using a USB Mayflash stick for MAME and I have to completely unplug it and plug in a gamepad for the console games.
  10. I am working on an arcade box that will be running MAME along with emulators for console games. My goal is is to use the built in arcade controls for MAME and then be able to plug in USB gamepad(s) to use for console games (RetroArch). This is all running on a PC. Thinking about going with Mag-Stick plus and Mini-PAC and using the USB connection. Is there a way to setup MAME to ignore the USB gamepads and only recognize commands from the Mini-PAC? Conversely, if I bind the P1 and P2 controls in RA to the gamepads, the Mini-PAC joysticks will be ignored correct?
