I would like to request the implementation of the following categories: Fanart - Box - 3D and Fanart - Clear Logo. I would also like to publicly ask the user who requests to delete the fan arts saying that we ask the developers for the function, please wait for the category to be created. You have to think about the common good, please.
  2. I just got a request for a game that currently has the title changed from not being a game to being a video to be deleted. The request is to put back its original title claiming that it is an "interactive video". The title is called "Sweet Paradise" for PSP, it's released as a UMD Video (as if it were a movie), but it's also true that it says "GAME" on the bottom right. I have also looked for a link on YouTube where it is also true that the history of the video changes according to the decisions that the viewer makes, so it is true that it has interactivity. There are movie games that are sold as video games. An example would be the title "Erica" for Windows and PS4, it is all in real image and the operation is the same. I am blocked. Any suggestions?: Sweet Paradise on PSP Game or video?
  3. I agree with you, One example I always like to use is the "Wings of World" title for the Genesis/Mega Drive. In Japan it was released as "Gynoug", but the publisher and developer list is the same. However, Sapo Xulé clearly states in MobyGames "Additional Development by Tec Toy Indústria de Brinquedos S.A." and that is what I think that as moderators we should verify. In simple regionalization translations there is no additional development (be it a little or a lot), I think that in general, we are not here to judge the content but the data, double-checking the list of sites allowed by rule 1 and, sticking to to that, there should be no problem, because there would be the same methodology. But this in the end is a vote and that is what decides. And now giving my personal opinion, for me a game is regional when the content is exactly the same as in another country (except for the title or start images), if it has a different doll it is no longer the same, but it is just my humble opinion. I respect the others, of course.
  4. There is a website that sells software called "Nes Maker" for people to create their own NES-style video games, and then they have a platform for those same creators to publish them for free and anyone can play them, via a browser, called "The Retro Verse ": https://theretroverse.com/ It is true that there is a category for browser games, but considering the above: Would it be more appropriate to create a new platform called "The Retro Verse" to unify all the creations made with the same software of that platform?
  5. I think several things, the first thing that if everything finally had to be merged, Tec Toy by Sapo Xulé would also have to be included in the same entry and it would be confusing because there is no option to clarify what each developer has done. Everything included (regional names and all) is supposed to have been made by the people coming out. I think that separately it is clearer which company has done what. And then there are the rules that ask us to verify in a series of specific sites, doing a double verification check. Some of those sites have them separately. For example, too, in the Video URL field there is no room for two video links from each of them. It would be necessary to put one or the other (which would it be?), or put a two-part video with the two game plays. I don't know... I understand that if everything were the same even with a different logo, and a different name and translation = regionalized game. But if we add to all this that they have changed the sprite for another doll that the others don't have... I think it's too much to continue being regional.
  6. Hello friends, I have a question about rule 2. I have appeared in the moderation link with a request to change the name of a LaunchBox entry. It is a DLC currently called here as "The Amazing Spider-Man: Oscorp Search and Destroy Pack", the applicant asked to exchange it for "The Amazing Spider-Man: Oscorp Search & Destroy Pack", it is decided, in essence to change the "and" by the symbol "&", alluding to rule 2, that the title must reflect the art of the box. The doubt I have at the time of moderating this is that in this case it is a digital DLC, there is no physical format with an expansion box, so the only thing there is is a banner that comes with the "&" symbol , but in the Steam title comes without it. In this case of a digital title without physical art, what priority would the title of the stores or the digital cover or banner have? Thanks.
  7. Thank you for the reply, and sorry for the delay, I did not receive notification. There is no problem, if it has been accepted, but neither is there a way to know for sure, so there is no need for you to apologize if we cannot know. The reason for going to MobyGames is for rule 1 of "Good and acceptable websites to double-check metadata are MobyGames, Giant Bomb, Wikipedia, IGN, Steam, GOG and GameFAQs." of the sites authorized by the rules, removing Steam and GOG that do not sell it, treating the title in question as an independent game: MobyGames, GiantBomb and IGN against Wikipedia and GameFAQs that treat it as a regionalization. I understand that you can have errors in the other bases, by all means, but in this case the rules allow it, as they say, in the case of 2 authorized sites that contradict the data, it would have to be compared with a third one.
  8. In my case none of that, it was a matter of text in alternative names. A title that, for example, appears in MobyGames as an independent title since it has important changes and modifications, here it was regionalized. I have also provided all the evidence, the two MobyGames links as two independent titles, the screenshots where significant changes are seen in the gameplay. I always put the evidence of everything I request.
  9. If the person who wrote this is here, remind them that moderation is not a place for disrespect. If he disagrees, he is free to downvote, but not to be disrespectful. The good work of a moderator is to provide the reasons professionally.
  10. Thanks a lot! Just like I thought. The first release date I had in mind, yes. How wonderful about OCR in the browser! Thanks, it will be very helpful
  11. Hi all! Sometimes I see games that have releases in Japan and other areas of the world and have a name in Japan and another in those areas, like for example in North America in English. However I see some of those games that have the Japanese name as their main name. I understand that we are a database of games in which the main language is English, so my question is: Should those titles be preferably with the name of the launch box in North America? Thanks as always for the help.
  12. Yesterday, in the moderation queue, I got a request to add a title called "Microsoft Art Gallery", as I have been able to inform me is an interactive learning guide. I wanted to know if this type of educational software can be cataloged as a game here on LaunchBox. I honestly think that like Micorosft Encarta it could not be added because it is a digital encyclopedia this should not either, but I would like to know your opinion or if the rules contemplate it. Thanks, as always.
  13. Thank you very much for the quick and efficient response and clarification!
  14. I have a little doubt about rule 2, which says "Game names should reflect the box of the game, with the exception of games that break scraping in LaunchBox. - For example, Alien 3 breaks scraping with it's superscript 3. " My doubt is that when I go to add a title, in the examples it tells me that I should write DOOM 3 instead of DOOM III, because DOOM 3 is how it comes in the box. In short, my specific question is: Can't you put numbers in the titles or can you put them? Thanks in advance!
  15. Hello, something strange happened to me. I have requested to remove an image of a game from the database because it was duplicated. However, it was rejected, but the photo has been deleted anyway. In the reason for rejection it says "No reasons were given, most likely because this moderation came in before the completion of the rejection reasons system" and I don't quite understand what that means. Thanks!
  16. Hello friends, I would like to ask a question. In moderation I have got a new entry to moderate in which the user wants to add a soundtrack to an existing game, my question is whether the soundtrack of a game can be called DLC (since being a soundtrack it does not add any new content to the base game) and as this is a video game database, I have doubts as to whether to accept it as DLC or not. Thanks in advance!.
  17. Thank you very much for the answer, I'm sorry it took so long to respond. Thank you
  18. Thank you very much for the information! I would like to know if you can tell me where to find the complement. I really like to collaborate, but sometimes the task slows me down and maybe I can optimize it better. Thanks in advance for the excellent software.
  19. I have a question about the dashes rule. There is a game that has been exclusively digital and digital platforms use the dash instead of the colon symbol (:). The question is that if the creators of the game have decided that the title bears the dash, would it be valid or should it be replaced by the colon symbol?
  20. My question is because sometimes when I am moderating, I have found in the comments the phrase "comment added automatically" and also because it has occurred to me that after leaving the moderation queue to 0, after a few minutes I see another Once with many pending requests. My question is to know if it exists and if it is allowed. Thank you.
