Always perfecting collections, never ending story. Btw, I also have a favorite MAME set, you know the work behind it. Lol.

? yeahr. Just got a new laptop, old one died, so now all emulation starts from scratch. Thats nice, then I can do a fresh install of everything, new roms, new folders, files etc... MAME, Future Pinball, SNES, NES, GBA, SMS oh a long and cosey season is coming ? Yesterday I forced myself into gaming even though things are a mess. But what a step up it is from EmuLoader, Mame 169, EmuCon and emus, to this Launchbox thing. Very interesting and lots a possibible nerding to do ?
Since over 1 year I’m creating my own favorite sets for everything I use in LB, as you know, that takes a lot of time, but on the other hand is also a lot of fun, I really enjoy doing it, well otherwise I probably wouldn’t.
At the moment, for over 1 month already, I’m going through the C64 TOSEC set, that’s huge, and so far I made it to letter M. But again, loads of fun, C64 fan all the way, was my first computer, and very nice to discover games you didn’t even know they exist, although also a lot of real crap lol. Amiga is already done, that was great fun too.Next one on the list is the ZX and the X68000. Consoles and handhelds are mainly done. Missing only lesser known systems. But there’s still a lot left, and strangely enough I’m quite happy about it ?

? funny how frontends, roms and emulators can consume as much time as playing the games... no? ?
Oh my, that is SOOO true, I barely touch the games, just OCDing through me collections, one game after another, everything must be perfect, am I right?
Got my RG350M yesterday, and again one project more, *sigh*

Made me think, playing with that thought already for a bit longer. Intel has the new NUCs, coming out early in July, called Ghost Canyon (NUC 9 Extreme). https://simplynuc.com/ghost-canyon/
Advantage is that you can put a GPU inside, and you have the possibility to go up to an RTX 2070. I was in contact with SimplyNUC just now, and they will get back to me as I wanted to know which model of RTX 2070 they're installing, as they couldn't tell me in the chat.
I think I will sell my Hades Canyon and get this one, would also work a lot better for PC gaming. Would be only for convenience, as I have a rather new gaming PC (a bit over 1 year old), but it's in another room, but I want one in my living room, next to my consoles, so that I can use it on my beamer (4K), and also be able to have the nice 5.1 sound. It has to be small though, as you know wives tend to not like too much of the electronic stuff to be visible, they'd rather put a new flower pot instead. But this would fit well, as the width is just slightly more than the Hades, it's only about double the height, but that still fits well, and the PSU is internal, the Hades has a quite big external PSU.
Plus sitting or lying on the couch whilst playing is priceless.

Is there none for both consoles? Still wanna play Forza on my One, although I have most racing games on my PS4.

It is indeed just an executable, so dragging and dropping works, I tested, although there's no media at all in the database, which I understand.
Like mentioned, I tried with the RA core but I don't see the point of running it through RA, as you can just run it as a Windows game, plus you're not only restricted to RPG Maker 2000/2003 games, but you can use games from any version.
Problem is that there's quite many games available, so editing them all one by one takes loads of time. How to scrape them properly, that is probably quite difficult, as nothing really stands out, even the executable is named randomly.
-
I'm also trying, scrapes as Windows. Tried the RA core, games are running 100x speed though. There should be an easier import for RPG Maker games, same like for Steam, GOG, UPlay... Just point it to your RPG Maker directory and it would scrape them as RPG Maker games. Should definitely be implemented, guess we're not the only ones.

If you plan to put it inside a cabinet the look and size don't really matter, I have mine standing underneath my TV between PS4 and XBox One, so size matters a lot to me. Plus the Hades Canyon also looks very neat.
The Mini-ITX ETA uses doesn't seem bigger than the Hades though, you have to look up the sizes perhaps, but you will probably have problems putting decent hardware inside, especially PSU, thus you're gonna be quite restricted.

Ok, I found out that the easiest way is just to drag and drop the game's exe file into LB and it adds the game.
-
Ok, didn’t know that it was related to the API. That’s too bad though. Can I add them manually?
-
I’m using a NUC, the Hades Canyon for LB, it works great. There’s a post in the forum with my specs if you search for it.

When trying to import my Steam games (only 24 in total), LB parses only about half of them. Why is that? Is not every game yet recognized. They're all installed in the SteamLibrary folder.

Batch file renamer called Advanced Renamer has TONS of options and is for free.

Thanks, worked. I thought that menu was actually for something else, f.ex. when importing stuff.
-
In my grid view I always had clear logos in my background shown, now after an update to 10.15 it shows me huge cover/boxart pictures of the games, don't find where I could change that back again. It's not under Options.
-
Direct3D 9? That’s quite old.
-
To my LB. Didn’t know about drag&drop option, gonna try that.
Btw, so far, going through my C64 games, I managed to get letter D now finished, so still a lot of work still ahead. What I wanted to say is that so far I already created over hundred clear logos, because loads of games are missing them, but it’s quite tedious to upload them to the LB database. Is someone willing to do that, should I upload them somewhere, or is there a faster possibility to add them in the LB database? -
I came across some C64 games that are not existing in the database, how can I add them manually? Using Add ROMs obviously doesn't add them, as they're not found.
-
LB is portable, so just try to move all your stuff 1:1 to another disk, just pay attention it has the same drive letter, then afaik no changes are due at all.

Games will be installed in dev_hdd0\game\game_id
Rap files are in dev_hdd0\home\0000000x\exdata
-
Although that’s not working with a favorite set.
-
Basically that’s exactly how I did it the first time, found it to be cumbersome after editing 2 entries, thought there might be another, faster, way to do it, and whilst searching a bit, I stumbled across the xml files. Jackpot ? Best way when renaming f.ex. hundreds of ROM extensions, like bin to iso, or smc to sfc.
Did i screw up mame installation?

I have all of them under the Emulator section to keep it clean, besides MAME which resides in the LB root as standalone.
