  1. You could try sfc scannow and DISM, it's a computer problem. First run DISM with /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth to ensure the system image is healthy, and then run sfc /scannow to fix any system files.
  2. The main file a folder format Xbox game will have is default.xbe and it might have those others not sure. Those 7 gb Xbox games were meant to be played on an Xbox 360 that's been RGH'd and won't work. You might be able to convert them using XDVDMulleter by extracting the ISO then remaking the ISO with the option of "make as small as possible". But if that doesn't work just search google for some other ISOs. In this video the guy actually has 7 gb ISOs that he converts to work for Xemu just watch the video and grab XDVDMulleter should work for you.
  3. There are some that were converted to .iso in a way that won't run on Xemu, and there are some games that just don't work on Xemu yet. I would first check the compatibility for each game https://xemu.app/#compatibility If it says it's playable then pretty much it's not a good ISO for Xemu. You would then need to find either one that's already converted for Xemu or find a folder format and use XDVDMulleter to convert it to a proper ISO for Xemu. If a game is 6 or 7 gb you could tell by the size it's not meant for Xemu. XDVDMulleter reduces it's size dramatically so that's good news you'll save space. Xemu can't read an ISO larger than 4 gb. I checked for you and both of those games show playable on the compatibility list so it's an issue with the ISO for sure.
  4. Since there doesn't seem to be a solution to launchbox staying in task manager I made an Autohotkey script that taskkills it then made a keyboard shortcut and then used JoytoKey to map the keyboard shortcut to my controller so that it gets removed from task manager (but sometimes takes several times to work) it'll have to do I guess seems to a computer problem on my end so I can't really expect a fix from someone here
  5. Some forums would not want someone making multiple threads it's hard to know. But I played with some settings and it seems that issue with it going back to Big Box during games has stopped (can't remember what I changed exactly). I tried installing a fresh Launchbox and then added the image and data folders but it still gets stuck in task manager.
  6. I'm fine with not being able to multitask, but it's going back to Big Box during games on it's own and when I press buttons in the games it's being read in Big Box. There's no way I'm the first person this has happened to right? I didn't even change anything yesterday was my first day having Big Box. I can disable controller if I need to I guess. I just launched a Super Nintendo rom through Retroarch using Big Box, the game booted fine then within one minute it automatically went back to Big Box, and keeps doing that every few seconds on it's own. And some games launch minimized and it goes back to Big Box yet the game is working. All of my games in Launchbox launch fullscreen.
  7. Yeah this is weird behavior and I looked through all of the settings there was nothing that I found about preventing the controller from working if Big Box is not focused. In fact I'll have Big Box open and be typing something in notepad and it'll just switch focus to Big Box and even in a game it switches focus even though I pressed nothing, and also buttons I'm hitting in the game are being read in Big Box. I am on a Launchbox that's 4 or 5 years old I tried to update today I copied all the info from the data folder but about 500 of my games were missing and many covers that I personally made it just won't work for me to update with these issues.
  8. Thanks for the info, reading your guide it's likely because I have 1300 games and way more images than that due to mismanagement of them probably like 5000 images. I will try to clean it up. In the meantime I created a autohotkey script to at least taskkill Launchbox with Ctrl + Shift + B so I don't have to go into task manager and close it, it works okay. One more issue I have the controller set to work in Big Box and it works but too well, it keeps working in Big Box when I'm playing a game so it interrupts the game and goes back to Big Box. Is there a setting to fix this?
  9. I just paid today for premium for the first time so still learning but I'm thinking what's normally supposed to happen is you go to Big Box then when you exit Big Box Launchbox is supposed to reopen? But my Launchbox is stuck in task manager but not opening. So when I go to launch Launchbox it says it's already open meaning I have to close it in task manager. Once I close launchbox.exe then it will allow me to reopen Launchbox by clicking on the exe. Any way to fix this? Even if I don't use Big Box launchbox is still getting stuck in task manager it appears it's not open but stuck there.
  10. I figured out when I change the Platform Launchbox expects the images to be in the Platform name's folder, so it's taking awhile but I'm getting it sorted. I would just manually add games and not put a platform or anything now I've got 1300 games to sort through.
  11. I've used Launchbox for about 5 years but never purchased a license until just now. I'm having some issues. Why don't my images in Launchbox show in Big Box? I tried refreshing all images caches but it didn't help. These are images that I uploaded myself and edited and made overall it took a long time. In some cases there is an image showing but it's not even the one I had in Launchbox. Also Big Box seems to be sort of hard to navigate around while it's open I have a laptop that's hooked up to my TV and I use both the laptop and TV screen. I wouldn't mind having Big Box open on the laptop screen at all times once I get it how I want it but I was typing just now and it took away focus and it made me stop typing plus it kept opening when I tried to minimize it. Is there any themes I can just use for Launchbox and not Big Box? I may just stick to that.
  12. The easiest way to load the games in Launchbox is just make a shortcut of the game using the Launcher by right clicking on the game, then simply select the shortcut in Launchbox as your game. You don't even need to add an emulator or any settings just play.
  13. If you pay for a Launchbox subscription does it require that you update? I think I mention to you before I don't want to update because I have over 1,300 games on my Launchbox and I made all the covers myself by getting them off google many I had to edit to my liking took a lot of time unfortunately when I update many of them get removed and it's just too much of a hassle.
  14. I feel stupid attempting to hide console window does work. I never had any luck with it with attempting to hide GUIs. But as far as startup screens I'm stuck on a 5 year old Launchbox so no premium for me so no startup screens.
  15. Well it appears if a game has issues it will still tell you but if there's no issues it will skip the screen about the rom. Not sure if there's a way around this, maybe you could use nonag MAME to avoid this. But I mostly hate annoying command prompts. I'm going to try to use nircmd for other emulators that boot with one and will report back. Edit: Nircmd + nonag MAME = direct boot MAME roms. It will work for any emulator that opens a command prompt.
  16. I just started looking into nonag MAME but it was only half of what I was looking for. I wanted to boot directly into MAME roms like they were PC games. Well I just figured out how and wanted to share. (if there was already another way I apologize I couldn't find one) First download Nircmd (scroll to bottom) https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html You will get 3 files including NirCMD.exe put all of them into your MAME directory where you have MAME.exe. Now go to Launchbox > emulators and open your MAME emulator. You're going to change emulation path to NirCMD.exe instead of MAME.exe. Right below that you will enter these for Default Command-Line Parameters execmd mame.exe -keyboardprovider dinput. That will remove the command prompt. Now in your MAME folder open MAME.ini text document. Under Core MISC Options change skip_gameinfo from 0 to 1. Done, your MAME roms should now boot directly without any command prompt and no warning about games working/not working. (if you like to use this to know if a MAME rom is working or not just boot it outside of Launchbox)
  17. When I boot a game through Launchbox it shows the menu above is there any way to prevent that? Edit: resolved by updating Xemu.
  18. I've had this problem off and on for 5 years I'm still having Demul Hikaru not going fullscreen (other roms such as Naomi Atomiswaves boot fullscreen just fine) but this one will not I've tried everything including the script in this thread. All it does when I hit alt+enter is remove the title bar yet remains a small window. (with or without the script)
  19. Most Teknoparrot games I am able to escape with the escape key or Alt+F4 but neither work with this game. I also can't hit windows and right click on the icon and close it either. The only way to close it has been to use task manager. I have tried adding this script to no success. $Esc:: { Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}} } Edit: Solved it by using Alt + E
  20. Weird I got it to boot with no gui but only by adding ALL FOUR of these commands -nogui -fullscreen -batch -bigpicture Exiting is working properly also.
  21. Thank you for what I'm sure is the correct and only correct answer. Unfortunately it didn't work but I am using a very old Launchbox like from 2020 or 2021 (I had custom made over 1,000 game covers with nothing indicating any consoles on the games or logos of companies or anything it took me forever and most of them were deleted when I tried to update Launchbox so I went back to the old version and refuse to update) I also did not pay so I have no startup screen option. I guess it's fair to say I can't expect it to work because of those conditions although I don't know why the command lines wouldn't work on an old Launchbox but maybe it's just the lack of startup screen. It's alright if there's no other solution I'll just live with the gui flashing. At least it's only a half second brief flash now it was showing the gui for a few seconds so it did help somewhat. It's just a bit odd that I think Duckstation and PCSX 2 are made by the same devs (or at least the guis look almost identical) and just putting -nogui works for PCSX 2 but not Duckstation. Oh well.
  22. So I am curious if there's a solution to the GUI showing of Duckstation when booting game? They used to have a nogui exe but they stopped including it a few years ago. I have tried adding -nogui like I have with PCSX 2 which works for it but it doesn't work for Duckstation. Google AI gave this solution but I tried it and it also did not work. For frontends like LaunchBox or other launchers, you can often configure a command-line to achieve a similar result. Add -fullscreen to the command-line arguments to launch a game in fullscreen. Add -batch to the command-line arguments to have the emulator run without a GUI in a batch-like manner. Ensure that "Confirm Shutdown" and "Confirm Power Off" options are unchecked in DuckStation's settings to allow it to close cleanly with the -batch command And yes I also have clicked "attempt to hide console window on startup/shutdown. Still shows it. Admittedly it doesn't show it very long it just flashes but for me the whole point of using Launchbox outside of PC games is to treat emulator games like they're PC games. The only other solutions I found googling were pre-2023 when they had the no-gui version. There was a thread on here in 2022 and the solution was "use the no-gui exe" but that's no longer an option. As far as I know nothing at least that I can find or have tried works. I really don't understand why the devs of Duckstation had to get rid of the no-gui exe and make it difficult for no reason. a
  23. Play! is normally meant for PS2, however there are some Namco arcade games that PCSX 2 can't play only Play! but I'm unsure of how to get games to load. It just goes to the GUI after adding rom and emulator. Does anyone know what commands I need to add? thanks Edit: ok I checked github after making this thread but it's still not working. This is what it says The following command line options are available: --disc "disc image path" : Boots a disc image. --elf "elf file path" : Boots a ELF file. --arcade "arcade id" : Boots an arcade game. --state "slot number" : Loads a state from slot number. --fullscreen : Starts the emulator in fullscreen mode. I tried adding --arcade but that doesn't work it says 'failed to read arcade definition file" I then tried putting --arcade "arcade id" in the command line but that doesn't work either.
  24. I know how to make custom configs dude, I just didn't know if RPCS3 was loading them when a game is lauching from Launchbox. This is a Launchbox forum I obviously don't want to load the game through RPCS3 I want to load the game through Launchbox. This thread feels dead to me no one really posts here I'm like the only one asking for help with anything and now I'm starting to get "just google it" answers. Almost feels like why would you even ask for help with an AHK script in an AHK script thread. The guy I'm quoting was guilty of that too just google it I read the entire thread a couple of months ago and never saw that reply until now twice. I think I'm good anyway won't be asking for anymore help here or helping others. Peace out.
  25. I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong but why not just use Duckstation in Launchbox with fullscreen? Then you wouldn't need bezel support. Because for that I use $Esc:: Send !{F4} Process,Close,DuckStation Run,taskkill WinTitle /im "duckstation-qt-x64-ReleaseLTCG.exe" /F *take note of your Duckstation version .exe and replace it if different. They've used different .exe names with different versions. Or you could replace Duckstation with RocketLauncher, but I don't know if it will work or not. $Esc:: Send !{F4} Process,Close,RocketLauncher Run,taskkill WinTitle /im "RocketLauncher.exe" /F Sometimes different emulators require different scripts for them to be closed. If you prefer bezel over fullscreen no problem, I just prefer all my games fullscreen and am more inquiring if you need help with making Duckstation fullscreen but if you want the bezel over fullscreen I'm not trying to change your mind.
