Just to show I'm not crazy this is my screen attached below. The game is clear as day Diddy Kong Racing, but when I load it in Launchbox Extreme G plays. I have tried once again selecting the rom, but it still plays Extreme G. Headscratcher to me. I do also have Extreme G in the same folder, but I don't know how that would effect it loading the wrong rom. If I load it in Project 64 it loads the correct rom Diddy Kong Racing.

I always make a thread like this and then figure it out right after. It was analog up and down which I didn't suspect. Highly recommend getting a steering wheel for any racing fan.

Just got a Thrusmaster Steering Wheel today for PC and Xbox 360, having a blast with it. However in Demul specifically the arcade (Naomi, Atomiswave, Hikaru) I was able to map the steering wheel easily with left and right stick, but I've tried all the buttons and can't map the gas and brake. Is it not possible? There's a few cool racers like Faster Than Speed, Maximum Speed, Star Wars Racer, Sega Nascar that I'd like to use it on. The thing I find odd is it lets me map them with no problem in controls but when I launch the games no go vroom vroom. Since it doesn't say, I don't know which buttons would be gas/brake but I've mapped all the buttons on the wheel and none of them make it go.

The lowest I have locally is like $200 lol. Are they pretty easy to hack/add emulators to?
-
Ah that makes sense thanks.

I just tried that it says Please enter at least one applicable platform in the grid.

I have an emulator Flycast that I want to make a copy of and have two different folders of the same emulator. The reason is I have an arcade stick to use for the Naomi games that work on it and I want to use my wireless controller for Dreamcast games, but the emulator makes you choose a primary so I don't want to switch back and forth every time I play thus two copies of the same emulator. But I'm not sure how to do that in Launchbox when I add an emulator it appears you can only choose from a list in the dropbox or am I incorrect?
-
I thought flycast did not support naomi 2 are you saying you got it to work?

Everything's working now it was a resolution conflict with an app I use called WindowedBorderlessGaming. The only issue I have is cave games have no sound when fullscreen for some reason.

If I try them in newer demul 7a_221215 with DX 11 old I get error Failed Create Texture.

When I load Gaelco roms in Demul it doesn't do anything no errors just sits there until I close Demul. It's as if I didn't load a rom at all but the options are great out to choose another rom which is the behavior of a loaded rom. I read somewhere that may be outdated that I need the old version of Demul0582 but it does the same thing. Tried both DX plugins no help. I got them to load before but I had to do a PC reset and start from scratch and I don't know what I did to get them to work. If I load them through Launchbox it just shows Demul with a gray screen. Again I get no errors either way launching through Launchbox or Demul itself.

I don't know of an app but I just make a ahk script this works for most games. ; This section closes PC Game Whatever when pressing Escape $Esc:: { Send !{F4} } Compile it into an .exe, then load it in launchbox as an additional app and load it before the game. As far as pausing games I have no idea, but that works usually for exiting games with esc.
-
I'm not sure of the exact script but this might help If it doesn't, I use an app called WindowedBorderlessGaming that works pretty well. It's just an app that sits in the bottom right corner and you right click it and choose add window and click back on your game and hit F3. Then when working right it should save that setting in that game when you play it again. Even if you don't need it for this particular situation you might need it for something else. http://westechsolutions.net/sites/WindowedBorderlessGaming/

Yeah the creator of Demulshooter made a different app for that game called mouseenabler I had to use it because Demulshooter didn't work for me in that game either. It's very simple to use just put it in the same directory and run mouseenabler in a ahk script and add it to launchbox. You can also set the resolution in the game with mouseenabler like this run, Aliens_MouseEnabler.exe -resX=1280 -resY=720 https://github.com/argonlefou/AliensExtermination_MouseEnabler

A certain game I have requires an additional app for me to make it fullscreen. For the additional app to work I have to hit F3 each time I launch the game. How do I make a script that hits F3 for me each time I run the game?

I have a Arcade Dump PC game Operation G.H.O.S.T. and it doesn't want to go fullscreen. The only way I've found is with a neat little steam app called WindowedBorderlessGaming. You launch the game choose add a new window in the app and hit F3 on the game and it makes it full screen. When working properly it's supposed to save that setting and automatically load the game fullscreen the next time you play it. But for some reason on this game it doesn't I have to hit F3 every time I launch the game. So I need a AHK script that will do it for me but remember there's no emulator involved so no area to add the script directly into Launchbox but I can make my own AHK script and add it to additional apps. thanks

My computer gives me problems with fullscreen using Sega Model 2 so I have to use Sega Model 2 UI. I use this script (with Demulshooter for my Lightgun) run, DemulShooter.exe -target=model2 -rom=hotd Run Sega Model 2 UI.exe, , hide sleep 250 Run Emulator.exe hotd The only issue with that is Sega Model 2 UI stays open after closing the game. How do I add a script to where it closes with the game?

For anyone who has this problem such as me just google WIndowedBorderlessGaming and it's a free steam app it was the only way I could get Hikaru roms windowed fullscreen.
-
I was able to fix my problem games by replacing files thanks to this thread. But is there any fix for Sega Rally 2 DX glitched graphics? or maybe it's my computer.

WindowedBorderlessGaming is free just google it, it works for pretty much all PC games from what I've read but I've used it only on Hikaru on Demul. I don't know if I can help you with your arcade cabinet problem. Maybe try binding the escape button to one of the arcade buttons? That's all I got. I'm not using an Arcade Cabinet I wish but I just use an HDTV. I ran into the same problem though with my Dualshock 3 some games use the d-pad instead of joystick. There's not great solution though if you reverse the mapping because other games use the joystick instead of d-pad. What I do sometimes for individual settings per game on an emulator that doesn't have one is just make copies of the emulator folder and have how ever many copies of it that way I can just change the settings. Not ideal by any means but sometimes there's no other options unless you want to go in there and change settings all the time.

I have an EMS Top Gun 3 from play-asia (don't think you can get it anywhere else any more) https://www.play-asia.com/ems-topgun-iii/13/704e7s Pros: Wireless Works fairly well when there's not a fault in it (described below) Cons: Had more than one gun where the trigger stop firing even though I was careful Sometimes even if you have the gun off the usb device will make your mouse get stuck, and you either have to get up and unplug/replug the usb device or turn on the gun and move the mouse that way. It's a driver issue because I've used EMS Top guns on a total of 3 computers and they all do that but only occasionally. Not a deal breaker IMO but annoying. You have to leave your computer on test mode for Windows 10 to let you keep the unsigned driver it uses. The only negative effect from that is a little sign on the bottom right of your screen that says you're in test mode everything else on your computer functions normally so I'd say it's minor. It's kinda hard for me to recommend one because of the trigger problems. But I seem to have one left that works well. If it messes up I'll probably buy a Mayflash Dolphin Bar and use a Wiimote. Aimtrak is the best I just want a wireless solution.

I'll give some general information to get people started if they want. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,160052.0.html That will give you a list of all the games working (doesn't include Wii games which works with Dolphin in which all games seem to work straight out of the box on it except entering your gun buttons on settings) and if you scroll down they made a list of which emulators they used. On occasion I used different ones like for Dreamcast I used mostly Demul but some Flycast standalone. PS1 I mostly used PCSX-Reloaded which relies on config files (a pain to get them running through Launchbox, but I can help if asked) but I also used some psX. That should be a good starting point.

That would be like writing a book lol but I'll help you one step at a time. Just think of it as learning to swim you jump in the deep in and I'll be there to save you if you start to drown lol. Let me know if you need specific help on something.

I don't have an Aimtrak I have EMS Top Gun 3 but the way I do it with it (I assume the same with Aimtrak) is just start a mame game and hit tab you can choose general settings which will effect all mame games or the one below it which is game specific then go to the button you want to change hit enter and press the button on your gun and it should register and save in Mame permanently. If it's not working that way I can't help though because again I don't have Aimtrak. Dreamcast you have a few options I heard Redream just got lightgun support but I've never used it so can't give you advice I know it only supports Dreamcast while Demul supports Dreamcast and many Sega arcade games and some of those works with Lightguns Naomi, Naomi 2, Atomiswave and Hikaru so Demul is probably your best bet unless you have no interest in those arcade games but some of them are awesome. You have to make sure you have the right bios and some games need chds to work sorta like Mame. There's also Flycast I use the standalone and it's probably the easiest to setup lightgun games most of them just work by changing settings to Lightgun no calibration needed. But you have to find the Flycast standalone. But Demul has more support for more arcade types Flycast is only Dreamcast and some Naomi and some Atomiswave so compatibility wise Demul wins.

I'm not trying to be rude but that page is by the guy who created Demulshooter. If he tells you you need a certain dump then the answer is obvious, you need to get that other dump the one you have doesn't work. About your second post because it says last version tested doesn't mean a newer version of Teknoparrot doesn't work. Surely you don't expect him to update the wiki every time there's a new update for Teknoparrot after testing every game when a new version comes out almost every single day. When it comes to troubleshooting (which is a huge part of getting some lightgun games to work) you've got to learn to take baby steps. The things you're asking me you already know the answer to and just get in there and try it and if you have a issue figure out why and fix it one step at a time. If it says get a different version of a rom don't bother asking me, just get the different version of the rom and see if that fixes your issue. If it somehow doesn't, try different versions of Teknoparrot yourself. I just spent the last few weeks stuck at home setting up 164 lightgun games and I rarely ever asked for help. I googled, googled and googled some more and tried every solution possible then if all else failed I would ask for help.
