  1. @IngabagovinananaThere are mixed reviews about Gameroom Solutions, however, I got my pincab from them and while their support wasn't the best, it wasn't terrible. All that is to say that they have a video on setting up Mame in a pincab and with a little adjustment to fit your needs, the setting section might help... I have mine the opposite of yours. I have BigBox on my Backglass, banners on my full dmd and games on my playfield. MAME handles this well, but other emulators like PCSX2 don't have screen rotation options which kills them for me on the playfield. Anyway, hope this helps!
  2. Ok, I have cleared the BB image cache completely. I then quickly created some playlist images for the platform banner view (I checked the box to use the playlist as a platform) and the two I did for Arcade Classics and Vertical Shmups worked, however, I still have a lingering text banner with 41 games. Those games are popcap games that I have completely removed from LB as they were troublesome on this setup. Where would I need to go to get that banner out of my lineup? On a side note, when I launch into BB, the banners are HUGE and they do not scale correctly until I go into the menu (esc) and then return to the banner screen at which point they scale nicely. Thoughts on that one? THanks for the continued input!
  3. No problem, here are the images you requested. When the longer names were still present in the LB playlists, I right clicked on the Playlist and selected edit, then changed the name in both the unique and nested name fields. The changes there were immediately reflected in the \Data\Playlist files as well.
  4. Ok, what am I missing? I set up some All Killer No Filler playlists and they started with very long names in LB, like All Killer No Filler Arcade Classics etc. But when I looked at them in BigBox, the text was huge and overflowed the screen and each other making it hard to tell which list was which. I subsequently changed a couple of the lists to shorter names in LB by editing the metadata and the changes seem to be reflected in LB as well as in the Lauvhbox\Data\Playlists folder. Yet, in BB, the names are still the original very long names. I guess the question is where in BB do I make an adjustment so it matches the name of the playlists that exist in LB? Thank you!
  5. Good Morning! I am having trouble with getting my NeoGeo games to launch from LB. I can open Retroarch from LB and select the game and a core (FB Alpha 2012 seems to work) but when I goto associated platforms for retroarch within LB and set the core to FB Alpha 2012 Libretro (or any other neogeo core), they won't start from LB. I click on the game and it doesn't do anything and even if I right click and say launch with retroarch and the associated core, it doesn't want to work. I must have the bios in the right spot if it works from retroarch directly yes? Anything else I should look at? Thanks!
  6. Hey folks, is there a way to Exit bigbox with a custom keystroke and have it close and then open another application automatically? thanks!
  7. I have seen a couple of older threads talking about three screens and wanted to see if any of the new releases of LB/BB include any type of support for 3 screen displays? In my case, this is not a three screen desktop, but a 3 screen Vpin cabinet. The playfield (the biggest screen laying flat in front of the controls in portrait orientation but still in landscape mode as the computer sees it) screen is where most emulators will launch to and play from but then I have two additional screens, one a 1080p 32" monitor and a 720p 15" monitor above the playfield. I would love to put a marquee or clear logo on one and maybe controller info, game info or even a 3d box image that stay on those two screens while the emulator is launched and the game is being played. Possible? Not yet? Thanks for any input!
  8. Got it. Thanks, I will check out the faux vert theme as the monitor will be rotated but still in landscape. As for the transfer, I understand I could just copy everything over, I guess I was looking for a way to select certain games and have the associated media exported. This will not be a system for everything to be on, just a selection of everything, I may just have to copy the individual roms and re-download or locate and copy the associated media. I will look into the emulator settings for the screen location, thanks!
  9. Good Morning! I am nearing completion of my new V-Pin cabinet and I want to include LB/BB and some specific games and media. A couple of questions... is there a vertical orientation theme or setting for LB/BB as it will be displayed on a monitor that is acting as the pinball playfield, oriented with the normal right edge of the screen nearest your hands and the normal bottom of the screen on the left side. What is the best method for selecting certain games and exporting them to another setup or do I need to recreate and locate roms/media files individually? I see export for Android, but will that work for this purpose? Lastly, with the pinball having the side oriented main screen, it is setup great for vertical scrollers like 1942etc, but I also have a smaller, normally positioned screen on the back, is there a way to tell LB or BB which screen to use on an individual game basis? Thanks for the help!
  10. Hey guys, I have a mixed bag of Dreamcast Roms, some in cdi format and some compressed with winrar in rar format. Is there any way to use the rar files without decompressing? Not a huge deal if I have to decompress but would rather leave them if possible. Currently using Flycast core Thanks!
  11. Hello again, Is there a setting somewhere that would allow both 2d and 3d box images to be used with a priority for 3d? This way, if there is not a 3d box image available, instead of showing the LB placeholder cube, it would revert and use the 2d image instead? Thanks!
  12. The advanced renamer is a great tool It is what I had already used. I put the portable version in my dependencies folder on a portable HD with all of my LB files just for this sort of thing. Got it pretty well sorted out now. Thanks again!
  13. Ok. I just cancelled out of the re-import I was trying and did a CTRL+A inside GBA and deleted everything while in LB. Closed and restarted LB and just began a new import of those ROMs with the better names. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the help! Now I know to check the naming before importing any large quantities of ROMs!!
  14. Hello! I am loving this process so far, however, I have run into a small issue. I imported a folder of GBA Rom's of which several (more than 30) have a #GBA in the file name. These roms are already in LB and they play without issue. The problem is that Metadata does not get pulled reliably if at all. I have gone into a couple and manually changed the title and then the metadata is downloaded without an issue. This led me to use a mass file renaming utility (Advanced Renamer) which allowed me to get rid of just the #GBA in the file names. The problem is, LB still sees them with the #GBA and the path that LB points to for the actual rom is still the name with #GBA in it. I just started to re-import all of the GBA ROMS folder (in which the files have been renamed to omit the #GBA) which I am now thinking might have been a mistake as it might double up all of the roms? Is there an easy way to batch change the titles and rom paths after importing originally? Or should I just delete all metadata associated with the GBA Roms and start from scratch? Thanks in advance!
