Hi Retro808 I don’t know what you mean by update and licenses? I am lifelong member at Launchbox and Emumovies. 🙂 Maybe that was for another person? Or was it because of me mentioning the “end”? Well, never mind. When I try to open pdf manuals inside LB (rightclick game > Media > View Manual) nothing happens, no messages or errors. When I try to open rtf manuals inside LB it opens just fine in wordpad. When I try to open pdf manuals outside LB, via file explorer, it opens just fine in adobe acrobat viewer.

Hi there I have a lot of pdf manuals that LB downloaded for me. And I have some rtf manuals I made by myself, for Future Pinball games without a manual. When I (in Launchbox 12.7-6 listview) rightclick a game with a manual > choose Media > View Manual The pdf's never open The rft's always open How come? Is it at my end or is this normal? My pdf viewer is Adobe Acrobat Viewer My rtf viewer is Microsoft Wordpad Greetings

I like the bagdes more and more, now that they are in LB listview, and one of the good ones is Mame Hiscores. Makes me wonder if it would be possible to have a badge for games with retroachievements? Is that a feature request or would that be coming anyways? 🙂

Hmm Now I tried and it didn't do it. I must have seen that at least 10-20 times today, but can't remember which games that did it. I have now updated LB to 12.7-6 and if it still does that thing, I'll note what game, and try too replicate 🙂 Now I did it, still hard to replicate, don’t know what triggers it… EDIT: it is happening again 🤓 Was reading (in LB listview Arcade Platform) what the new achivements in Asteroids (rev4) was, the video played the 2 minutes I was reading, then I pressed RetroScore and closed Retroscore again. Then I browsed to Amidar and the Asteroids music looped, and continued on top of amidar video, till 5 secs after I closed LB - and I did a fumble, did not press record on my phone 😧 2nd EDIT: I replicated it, like above, I now have half a .mov video at 50 mb, but only showing the error, not the start. Is it worth an upload? Can you replicate? I used my iphone for recording. Will OBS studios be better at recording this? Trying to replicate again… sometimes it does sometimes not, I went from reading astrroids info pressing one of the achivements and was directed to webpage. When I returned after a minute and browsed to amidar, it looped again. maybe it dependsnon when I do other stuff or what, and when I browse on? By waiting / reading A minute I also got asteroids looping sound into its own mamegame, so soundloop in same game as real sound. I also can make the wrong loop when editing metadata. I do that a lot, and that might be why I see this error a lot? it seems I have to do “stuff” while the video is running and then the wrong loop starts afterwards?

Happens almost all the time, must shut down LB and open, to stop it looping when I browse or play a new game. Should I do a video?

I am seeing this in Launchbox using VLC. Autoplay videos turned on.

I get this too in LaunchBox - had it before, but not for a long time. It came back with an update, I guess. Got it some betas ago, I am now on LB 12.7-5. ... when I browse or play in LB the other viewed preview videos sound keep looping, and it wont even stop before 5 seconds after LB is closed, it keeps looping, 5 seconds when viewing just Windows Desktop. That’s a weird bug.

OK, thanks for your 2 inputs 😊 You may be right, I just didn’t think there was such a big difference when launching with or without LB. Out of curiosity: Is it possible for you to check the difference on these games on your system(s), launched via LB / just MAME. It’s OK if not possible 😊

Hi When I choose some MAME games that I guess have “heavy” demands to my pc, they perform bad through Launchbox but fine through just MAME. Games like Aquarush.zip and dfkbl.zip (DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu Black Label) perform 100% when I check FPS via pressing F11 in just MAME, but if I choose the game through Launchbox the FPS are as low as 30-50%. Normally games perform fine through LB. Any ideas why such a dramatic slowdown? OBS Studio isn’t running. My setup: Lenovo Gaming Laptop Intel i5 9300HF 2,4gHz CPU 8 GB RAM 500 GB SSD Hardrive, but roms are on an extern HDD Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 Windows 11 Home Launchbox 12.6 Premium Mame 0.227

My first time in this subforum… When I import the Future Pinball table “Hell” (import roms) the metadata downloaded is for Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (and they are nowhere like clones) both Youtube videolink, notes and Wikipedia link, and the game name and metadata. Maybe someone can correct 😊 Greetings

Well I tried the forced import like you said, and it helped, even though the game wasn’t previously imported. I searched before, and Cover Girl.fpt was imported, but Cover Girl (Keeney ‘47).fpt (not a clone) was not, but forcing it made the day. Does LB not read all the filename, like the Keeny-part or does it find the game name from the emulator instead of using the filename? In LB they both only appear as Cover Girl. Should I deselect / untick “Search for game information in the local metadata database (recommended)”? The other game I used to confirm was bad in a way. Have a nice day 😊

👍 yes, thar’s it. I always close LB by cross in right corner and then reboot windows, but new LB behaviour / setting in taskbar system area (little LB i on) was the thing that did LB is not closed all the way on the Cross any more 😊

🧐 Just found out I can’t do this any more: (import single roms, last import was 11th of nov. 2021) Tools > Import > Rom files... > Next > Add Files > (locating file) Open > Next > (choosing platform) Next > (choosing emulator) Next > Use the files in their current location > (tick Search for game information in the local database (recommended) Next > (Check None) Next > (only tick Manual) Next > (only tick Look for PDF files for use as game manuals) Next > ... then no game titles shows in next menu, before this the selected game showed up, and I clicked Finish, and the game was installed. Now it says 0 games were imported successfully, and before it always said 1 game was ... Weird 😯

C-Beats: You were a few minuts faster than I was my self... I checked up. Not the install process. 😊 When I close down LB and reopens no error. But when I reboot Windows 10 (and that I also did before each new beta) the settings are partially gone. Settings in top menu Badges -> Show Badges remain, but Badges -> Game Attributes -> Enable Favorite (and the other I selected, like Completed, Broken, Unplayed and MAME High Scores) disappear / reset when rebooting Windows. And right click top tiles of LB Listview choosing the things I want LB to “Show” doesn’t reset setting “Show Badges” when rebooting Windows. I tried rebooting windows 5 times in a week including two Beta updates and every time thenmentioned settings reset.

Hmm. It seems every time I update betas since badge support in LB list view, it forgets the settings and shows no badges? 😊

With the new beta LB12.5B2 this error is gone for me 👍😊

Hi After installing LB 12.5B1 I can’t record OBS videos of Future Pinball gaming. Arcade and SNES gaming I still can do, but not Future Pinball. I use newest FP and have done 100s of gameplay videos, as I can’t download them from LB DB or EmuMovies, like games from other platforms. Last video I did was on 9th of nov. 2021. Can’t tell wich version of LB it was, but I always update betas etc. It has worked for a long time. I update OBS when prompted. I use (and have used for a year or more) default command line parameter for FP emulator: “/open %romfile% /play /exit” as adviced in this forum. When entering the Pinball Table / Game in LB, OBS starts up, FP loads the table and I try to start and stop the recording. When exiting the table / game, I used to be offered the option to associate the video with the game, like I still do in other platforms. But not after FP, now. Anyone else got this? 🧐😊

UBig error? How can this be? I looked at global ranking total on mame leaderboards, and saw something that might be a flaw? The player (name hidden) has 2 incredible records (1000 times as much as #2) in Solomons Key and Gunbird. I checked on youtube (view video url in details) and saw Gunbird longplay video ... in 30 minutes the youtubeplayer gets 1.500.000 That is 50.000 a minute. And if (name hidden) should play like the other guy, he would have to play a very long game, like 37 days in one sitting, to obtain 2,661,195,422 points (#2 scored 1,462,429) In Solomons Key a youtubeplayer made a video called “Solomon’s Key - Arcade No Miss - 10,647,094 pts” he completes the game meaning solves the final round, so I guess it is hard to obtain 2,151,686,160 pts (more than 200 times as much?) like PEZKING does (#2 has a score at 664,750). I hope you don’t see my question as bad, I don’t know how it happened, but I think it must be wrong, maybe an error, who knows. ( I too had to report a much to high highscore I made, in a game that made an error, AFAIR.) Maybe I just dont know s... about the 2 games, then I’m sorry ?

Hi I record my own gameplay videos of Future Pinball tables on Launchbox, using OBS. In listview (never use BB) I have videos of arcade games (imported from EmuMovies) and they work fine, but often my pinball videos (50 seconds) loop to long, so the sound keep on looping when viewing another table, playing another gamer viewing an arcade game, Only way to stop it is exit out of LB. And even then the sound continues to loop for maybe 5-10 seconds more, in windows desktop. Anyone tried that? I use newest LB beta 11.10- beta 5 (and newest Future Pinball and updated windows 10 64 home) but this has been going on as long as I have been recording by myself, for a few months. EDIT: The trigger seems to be when I edit metadata in a table (the field Rating), then OK the menu and go back to viewing the table in listview, then the video sound keeps looping on the table, even when I change table or play or exit. EDIT 2: And it doesn’t happen when Bulk-editing, only normal edit metadata. It doesn’t matterwhat name the videos have, the default or the full filename. It doesn’t matter if the video files are in recordings or in another folder. EDIT 3: solved by the new beta version 11.10b9 Happy Holidays ?

Oh, and Retro808 (or anybody) can you tell me what’s wrong here? MAME Darius choppy ONLY in LB No one seems to know... not answering for about a month anyhow ?? It only happens when launching through LB. Via MAME (not using LB) there is no problem. Bye ?
