Thanks, but I haven't installed all games and I don't have ink files, for this I would create a txt files with names of games for import and scraping on LB.

Hello. That's not how LaunchBox imports ROMs. I strongly suggest organizing your folders/games as such:
-
ROMs
-
Atari 2600
- game1.bin
- game2.bin
- game3.bin
-
Nintendo Entertainment System
- game1.nes
- game2.nes
- game3.net
-
Sega Genesis
- game1.gen
- game2.gen
- game3.gen
-
Atari 2600
Here is a Atari 2600 video that will be a very similar process for importing other platforms.
*This is a previous version of LaunchBox - your menus may look different. Here is a playlist for LaunchBox Tutorials
I know how to import games on launchbox. Here in this case I would create a fake files txt only for import list games PC for scraping....

Hi Sundogak.
I know this but when I import games from LaunchBox I must select files and a lot of games has many and many exe or ISO or setup.
I would import only titles as not installed for to do a beautiful scraping.
I'm searching a best way for to do this.
Maybe with editor vba on excel, I'm trying....

Hi guys, i would to import all my pc games on LaunchBox.
My games are in folders. Every game it's in a different folder with game's name.
I would create automatically a list of files txt with names folder (games name) so I can import all txt files only for scraping and later I set all this games as not installed.
How to do this? I can pass all list names on excel but I don't know how to create a single txt file for every game.
Please help me if you know.
-
Wow this is a great news. I'm trying just now and works perfectly!!!
Great!!!
Have you xml file for correct names of games and to do scraping ?
A lot of thanks!!!!!
-
Wow great News. Now I can play more then 60 games without problems. Developers are working everyday! Great!
Now I ask if anyone has loaded roms on LaunchBox with correct names of games for a correct scraping.
I think that I need a xml file of your launchbox platform so Id games can change with a real name of games.
Understand? Anyone have already this?
-
Hi, today I try Vita3k emulator for Playstation Vita games and supports only about 60 games for now but it's in progress everyday. Games are in NoNpDrm dumps no other versions.
Controllers xbox360 works very well.
The only problem it's import games on LaunchBox. Everyone knows how to do this? I don't know. Sorry.
Thanks for answer. Mark.

Okay so this worked for me kind of, but still had issues with some games that I knew worked in the emulator outside of launchbox, but not when launched from launchbox. (Requiem from Hell for instance would launch when directly launched from the eka2l1 emulator but not from the files darkshade had provided in launchbox) Here's what I did to fix that issue and hopefully this helps someone in the future if they run into the same issues that I was having and thanks to Darkshade and Mr.Laor for all the info they and their posts on the subject provided. (Most of this post is basically a carbon copy just with tweaks to file names and condensed into one post)
1. Follow the guide to set up the emulator from the OP Video here. note: Of the Symbian OS' that he linked to in the description of the video the one that has best compatibility is RH-4 as the blzinstapp will actually work. I'm not sure if I can link it so Google is your best friend.
2. Once you have your emulator set up you need to have it set up in launchbox (under tools, manage emulators, add) and after you have put in the path the the executable and named your emulator, make sure to tick the box for "Use file only without file extension or folder path" and add in the default command line parameters this.
--app %romfile% --fullscreen
3. Download this folder of blank files and save them into a folder where you will be able to keep track of it.
Mine looks like this: H:\LaunchBox\Games\Nokia N-Gage\Command Lines
The blank files will all have odd names like 0x101F402 and the reason for this is those are the App IDs for each game in the emulator and will correspond to the shortcuts that we will need to make in step four.
4. I altered Darkshade's .bat file to produce the shortcuts the same way it did before but with the correct App IDs. So to produce the shortcuts we will need download this .bat file and place in the root directory of your emulator with the eka2l1.exe program.
Mine looks like this: H:\LaunchBox\Emulators\EKA2L1(Nokia Ngage RH-4)
You will need to create a shortcut to the emulator by right clicking eka2l1.exe and selecting create shortcut here. It will create a file called "eka2l1.exe - Shortcut" which is what we want. Run the "Ngage App ID Shortcut.bat" after you have created the shortcut to eka2l1.exe.
5. Take the Game shortcuts folder that has been produced in the root folder of your emulator
again this folder: H:\LaunchBox\Emulators\EKA2L1(Nokia Ngage RH-4)
and place it in the folder where you stored your command line folder from step 3. Now its time to import your games into launchbox. Import all the files from the command line folder you downloaded in step 3 as "Roms" and scrape for the platform "Nokia N-Gage". You will most likely not get any art work as the games will all be labeled the odd file names like 0x101f409 so don't panic.
6. Once all your games are imported close launchbox and Download this. It's a filled out platform xml file that needs to replace the one launchbox just created in LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\Nokia N-Gage.xml
Mine is under this: H:\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms\
Once it has replaced the one launchbox made, open it with your favorite text editing program(I highly recommend Notepad++ because its free and great) and press "ctrl+F". In the options there should be a "find and replace" option with two bars to fill out. In the "find" bar copy
Replace\This\Directory
into it. Now we need to add what we are replacing it with, which will be the folder where you placed those command line files from step 3. The easiest way to do this is open windows explorer and navigate to the folder. Right click the address bar in the window and copy as text.
Mine looks like this: H:\LaunchBox\Games\Nokia N-Gage\Game Shortcuts\
Note like Darkshade said earlier make sure you have the backslash on the end there. "\"
After its done finding and replacing just save the file as is. Open Launchbox and all the games should have the correct meta data and names. Feel free to scrap the art work now.
Now as far as I know there are a few games that A)Do not work correctly, B)Do not have box art/meta data, C)only work on certain Symbian Operating systems like RH-4. I have only tested all the games I have on two of them (RH-4 and RH-29) but I compiled a list of working and not working with app IDs into this Excel sheet and maybe it will help others in getting the rest of the library to work correctly. That excel sheet can be found here.
I hope this helps someone and again thank you to both Mr. Laor and Darkshade for all the info and work they put into this! Cheers everyone.

--app %romfile% --schermo intero
Dopo aver trovato e sostituito, salva il file così com'è. Apri Launchbox e tutti i giochi dovrebbero avere i metadati e i nomi corretti.
Auguri a tutti.
Hi Talphadogg,
i follow your guide and all works perfectly. I set all in my LaunchBox. Only .blz doesn't work. This is error when i launch the game :
Error executing script entry of gof_red_fix: [string "gof_red_fix"]:24: attempt to index global 'gofExecSeg (a nil vaule).
Other things... have you covers, clear logo and snap video ready to put in LaunchBox\Images or Videos ?
Have you a beautiful theme video of Nokia N-Gage ?
Other question? Have you tutorial for Reshade with little screen for this platforms games ??? At full screen it's very bad ;S
Thanks.

Hi guys,
I set on TeknoParrrot control mapping xbox360 every game one by one and all works fine.
But if I move this external hard disk on a new pc, settings are saved but not works and I must re-configure all one by one. So not is portable?
Can I fix this problem?
Or maybe it's better to try use jconfig or others? If yes how to do? Please help me if you can. Thanks.

Ciao grazie a tutti,
Grazie.
Very strange thing..
I try all on other computer more cheeper and poor and here audio it's perfect. Maybe it's screen or driver video problem? My best pc have a big monitor 3840x2160 16gb ram Radeon Rx 580. Maybe it's incompatible with retroarch? Anyone knows this issues? Thanks.

No.
Hi thanks for all,
i take my decision and iwould use your collection game complete of all demoscene etc..
Only one big problem. When I launch everygame starts and works but audio goes very slow and bad. Do you know this problem? I try to select video driver from retroarch on Vulkan but nothing. My pc it's very power. Can emulate xbox360 and ps3 too.... How to fix this issue? Thanks.
-
Hi, I have already my Launchbox collection with all platforms and I would add this, Commodore 64.
I see the guide at first page and all it's ok but I would use only games (not demos cene, sid, magazines, sid etc..) and I would organize as always I do, withe folder games in My directory Launchbox\Games\Commodore 64.
And for rest? If I would use my retroarch maybe I will need to set all configuration shaders etc.. and I don't want this. Maybe I will prefer to use this Retroarch folder renaming in Retroarch (for C64) in directory Launchbox\Emulators
It's difficult to change names and directories of all structure? What I need for to do this? It's possible?
Now scummvm and ms-dos too are perfectly in Launchbox\Games\
Thanks for answer and thanks to zombeaver for all this. ❤️🙏🏾

Hi, I have downloaded c64 dreams project from torrent last version 0.45 in Launchbox folders. Now I unzipped files. But I have already Launchbox installed on my pc. Which files and folders I must overwrite for add correctly c64 platforms with games collection? Thanks.

Hi, collection it's complete now ? I can download and try all games ? I read that arrive letter "O" it's real ?
Where i find all complete collection ? Thanks for all!!! You are Genious !!!!
