Great work with this theme - did you make this using the theme creator? Trying to play around with it, can this be imported in to the theme creator? I'm trying to get a wall view with 7 games showing across but i can only get 5 and also when you hover over a game i cant figure out how to highlight around the game without some crazy weird magnification occurring - would be great to see how you got around a few of the issues I'm facing hence asking regarding the import in to the creator.

Hi All, I've looked around on the forum but couldn't find what i was looking for so apologies if it's posted somewhere and i missed it. I've used the theme creator just to mess around really and previously i was able to add themes in to it and play around to see how it works, however this time round i was hoping to make a new theme, there are themes that have sniplets of things here and there so i was wondering how does one go about to import an existing theme in to the theme creator so i can copy an paste bits and amend 🤔 Tia advance for any hints or tips

Hi Guys - ive done a reinstall seems to still be lagging is the caching process the green bar across the top? does this run every time? alternate front ends load super quick less then 5 seconds and then even games unzips and loads with in 5 seconds also - so im confident my system is up to the task not sure if im missing any settings or something Anti virus (default windows 10) is also off so no additional scans taking place... any ideas? TIA

By caching do you mean the green bar across the top? It’s done that already.. auto populated lists? I just imported the ROMs and did a media search through the import steps and that’s it - I’ve not made any play lists as of yet although I do want to make collections of games.. ive re installed windows this evening so it’s a complete clean install will try import again and see how that goes - it’s nice to have all the games but also emulators weren’t working for all the games so I might just limit it back to the games that are of interest. are there any Launchbox pre config emulator folder settings avail on here via this forum? 6 sounds sounds fair - would be great if I could get it down to that / less..

I have tested this on two windows 10 machines dell i5 8500t 7070 micro with 256gb ssd m.2 and 8gb ram and i7 7700k, rx 580 8gb, nvme m.2 500gb Samsung with 16gb ram both systems it takes atleast 40 seconds to 1 minute for launch box to open then just with the 4 platforms/systems (approx 15,000 games) nothing compared to some other builds and then opening games takes 20-30seconds

Hi all - so I’ve managed to get a Launchbox set up with Nes / SNES / ps1 / ps2 but just with only these systems the load time is so slow to boot up Launchbox. Games also take quite some time to boot.. where as alternate front end system with tonnes more systems boots within seconds... are there some tweaks or settings that need to be looked at?

@Neil9000 - thanks for your replies - I noticed you are very active and rather prompt with responses. Ive been looking at Hyperspin with rocket launcher and launchbox/bigbox It seems big box ticks more of the boxes however online presence (you tube) there's a tonne more Hyperspin videos due to cabinet builds - do people not really build with LaunchBox? is there a dev area where one can contribute towards things or is it jus t dev yourself upload and share with the community? are there any systems like megacade out there but built using big box not hyperspin? I have played around with a few of the freely available offerings online (pre built drives) (yes I know frowned upon - sorry but wanted to use it as a base to play around with) - I also previously had my own collection (very small as it was just a past time hobby) but with recent events having more time id like to get back in to things and possibly move all the media I have over from a Hyperspin build to launchbox / big box I have a 8TB collection but find hyperspin very old and clunky and want to rebuild from scratch including custom themes - are there any dedicated forum links or people who you could advise where I could start on creating a fresh build with custom theme? im new to the forums so looking around but if anyone know of the answers would save me time thanks TIA

Hi All, I was wondering is there a db of some sort or does the LB / BB provide a list of how many games there are per system? (not a count of what I have as my collection but as count of total count for x system) TIA

hi all. apologies if this is in the wrong place.. im new to the whole emulation side of things - ive played around with hyperspin and rocket launcher - quite a minefield but how do i use launchbox and add a game like timecrisis 5 when there is no emulator? also would it be advisable to use rocker launcher with launch box or forget it all together and just use launchbox thanks in advance
