I searched the forum before asking here, but apologize if I somehow missed it.
I would like to structure my games by the system, and then by Alphabetic folders like:
Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) >> 0-9 >> 8 Eyes.
Can someone explain in detail the best way to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance. -
I don't think so, as mine connects - unless fixed in the time you reported it until now.

Tried to simply copy the folders and files from the working installation on the C drive to the mapped drive and made no difference - wasn't holding my breath but just thought I would try.

I'm having the same issues with Launchbox 13.22 installed on a mapped drive. Oddly enough both Big Box and Launchbox act as I've never opened them (Even choosing "Run as Administrator") but the unins000.exe file to uninstall (from same mapped drive) opens without any issues.
This is on a fresh install both locally to my C drive and also my mapped drive. As a comparison, my local C drive has 25 files and folders in the Launchbox folder, but my mapped drive only has 10 - not sure why it isn't able to fully install on a mapped drive.
I hope the issue is figured out soon and a work around is figured out. I'm uncertain if this could be something with Launchbox or Microsoft Windows updates, but have been pleased with the support Launchbox and team have provided.-

I'm using Launchbox version 13.21 Beta 1 on Windows 11 Home version 24H2 if this helps.
I need help to figure out how to add Bezels - haven't added MAME games yet, only NES games.
I just added a new ROM and for the first time ever on the game I just added, it asked if I wanted to add Bezels. Never had this show up before.
Can I add Bezels to the ROM's I already have installed, or must I add the ROMs all over again. Can you turn off Bezels for certain games or is it just on or off for all games. Also, if you can turn Bezels off, can you instruct me on how to? -
Any ideas?

Do you have those image types in any of your image priorities?
Not sure I understand what you are asking, sorry.
I have already downloaded the images, and they appear in the Edit Game properly. If I do not run the Clean Up Media tool they stay and appear in the Edit Game screen as they should. When I use the Clean Up Media tool, those specific ones from EmuMovies come up and say not in use - if I delete them here, they remove the ones I wanted to keep from the edit games screen - basically they are being mislabeled as not in use.

The duplication issue is resolved. Thank you all for your assistance in helping me troubleshoot and get it resolved. Very Happy!!!

I believe I have found the cause of this and it will be corrected in the next beta release. Once it goes public I'll do my best to remember to ping you two so you can confirm the issue has indeed been resolved. Thanks for reporting the issue and working with us to help find the cause of it.
Thanks to everyone who helped assist me and @boylag. I apologize if anyone mistook my OCD and need to have everything working for everyone as being rude or a jerk.
I will also try to check to see if the beta fixes it and let all know.
Thanks again! -

Anyway I can get your data files I requested @1970Novacaine, without them it's mostly just guessing as to what is going on.
Sorry, just sent.

@neil9000
Here is the location of the images that it duplicates - the ones unchecked are ones that are mislabeled as not in use, but they are and I want to keep them. -

I'm gonna say bingo, not sure yet how or why, but.....
Didn't have any issues with like 4 previous versions and only happened directly after latest update.

Also could you confirm whether you have any sync software (like DropBox) running against the images folder that may be causing some issues? Could you double the images a few time and then send me a pic of the folder contents? Want to vet out what files are being created and how they are named.
@C-Beats I have the entire LaunchBox program and all subfolders on my in home server, but no sync software is installed. And no other changes to hardware or software for the server - or the computer accessing it either.

I can't seem to replicate this either, it doesn't matter if i hit cancel or OK, when i go back in i still have the same amount of images as i had previously. So it has to be something specific to your system, but finding what that is is the trick.
Could you turn on logging and repeat the steps in the video and provide the log?
@neil9000 I will try that it a few mins and attach the log file.

Just noticed the "Clean Up Media" tool marks some files as not in use and deletes them so this temporary fix can't be used as it is broken too.

@C-Beats
This happens whether I change/edit any information in the "Edit Game" screen or not. If I hit ok on the "Edit Game" window, images double, if I hit cancel it works as it should. I do not know how to explain it differently, sorry.I promise I am not trying to be a jerk.
I have attached a video showing the issue happening, perhaps it will explain better than I can. -

Im having the exact same problem.
Press ok without doing anything images double.
I can delete all images manually and then it wont double.
The second a image is in a folder (even if manually) the second I go into to edit the game it doubles any of the images in the folders.
@Boylag,
After you determine which images to keep, instead of deleting the extra images this bug causes - you can go to: "Tools => Cleanup Media", This has been a life saver once I figured it out so I don't have to manually removed hundreds of extra images. Hope this bug gets resolved soon, it is annoying.
*Edited to add - Be careful using the "Cleanup Media" tool as it is incorrectly tagging images as not in use, when they are - and I want to keep them, and when deleted it deletes the image completely when it was in use and I wanted to use it. -
Sorry I didn't explain it better.
Anytime you do anything in the "Edit game" and press OK, it doubles the number of images you had - had 12, edited a game a few times (Not downloading any media) and ended up with 96 images - 8 edits, 12 doubles each time -

I am trying to access a game in LaunchBox called Abadox: The Deadly Inner War. When I search for Metadata it returns LaunchBox DB ID #1501 for a game simple called Abadox, and allows me to download some of the images but none I need. Upon clicking the link DB ID #1501 it redirects me to the website, and the correct version of the game I need along with the proper images.
My problem is how can I tell the LaunchBox App to use this correct version on the website?
The correct link on the website is: https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/1459
But the App opens this first: https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/dbid/1501/ then redirects to correct game, but the App doesn't utilize the correct link
