Unfortunately I don't have a change log as I don't have the 2.0 collection to compare, and due to the way I shifted adding games I couldn't simply check zip file dates like I usually do. Judge Dredd pinball is on my missing list. I wasn't able to find a copy back in 2013 when I put the action torrent out. I haven't gotten to the action pack for this round yet, so I haven't had a chance to see if it's popped up yet. It sounds like the other game you've mentioned isn't English? I'm pretty picky about the non English games I add. I try to only add ones that can be played without having to read.

In the xml folder, there is a merge.bat file that creates the ms-dos.xml I'm the first torrent there is an adventure.gam and adventure.app file needed to build the adventure list and an RPG.gam file needed for the new list. If you have both, it will merge them.

Vol II has been uploaded and is [Free] for the duration of the 12 days of PD. Also, once the 12 days of PD is over, I will be pulling down my Vol I torrent. It has 2 corrupt games in it. I have repaired all of this, but I don't want to replace the torrent while people are still seeding it and getting the 2x bonus credit. So I have decided to wait until the promo ends, and at that point I will replace the file and make it free for a number of days. Fixes Include: Repaired Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Vol 2 Repaired Phantasmagoria 2 Removed a handful of duplicate games that were leftover from an old version Fixed extra spaces in 2 game names (Police Quest 3 & Touche) Added missing descriptions to a handful of games. This only affects Meagre users however, as these descriptions were already fixed on the LB side. Other than the 2 corrupted games, the rest is just normalization processes to assist folks who are building lists and plugins to make my packs work with other systems.

It won't start as high as a 2.0 version, but it will be able to use some of the existing files. However, keep in mind that when updating by simply pointing a torrent over an existing set of files, it will add files and update files, but it will not remove extraneous files.

Then don't download it over your existing files.

The only way to move the rom to a different folder is to go in and edit each games LB entry. Specifically, if you right click a game and edit it, you will see a tab that says "game folder". That points to the launch file. If you move the launch file, it won't find the actual games zip file. So you have to move all the games and the "!dos" folder in the games folder. The "!dos" folder is the launch files. Once you move all that, you have the edit the games folder in LB so it can find the new files. I presume it could be done by editting the xml file and using a search & replace, however this would still break all of the "game extras" unless you edit all those paths as well. Essentially, it could possibly be done - but that is on you to figure out. The short of it is you need the exodos folder setup properly, you need the front end files extracted from the gamesadv.zip file (something my setup process does), and then you need to move all this (as a group to retain relative file paths) to whereever you want it to reside. You then have to go in and exit the MS-DOS.xml file to reflect this change in path. Good luck.

You can put it anywhere you want, but the whole point is you can't just point the new torrent to your old collection. You have to place the old collection *inside* a new folder for the new torrent to see it properly. I don't believe anyone ever said it had to be on a local drive.

This is very simple, but it seems to be confusing folks. If you don't copy anything over, your torrent client will redownload the entire torrent from scratch. Approximately 130gb. If you copy your old folder over, it will only download the new stuff. About 15gb or so I believe. The step is not necessary. It is simply there to save you from having to re-download 115gb of data that you already have.

I'd suggest going through this thread. You'll see my detailed posts on what to do if you already have my old collection. If you don't, then you don't need to worry about these steps. Just download the new collection and run the setup file and you are ready to go. You also don't need to understand dosbox as I have already gotten every game in my pack running. If you are interested in learning dosbox for your own amusement, then just Google around. There are many guides to get you started, however it can take quite a while to get good at it and learn how to smooth out certain issues.

I feel folks are overthinking this. Copying the old files over just helps you not have to re download everything from scratch. It's the difference between downloading 15gb versus 130gb. It has nothing to do with how your games get imported. My setup file takes care of all the importing of every game in my collection.

I was an uploader on IPT, however to maintain uploader status there I had to upload a certain amount of things every month. Inherently, my work often has months in between, so this forced me to waste time creating torrents for individual games other dumb things just to maintain uploader status. I have since let that status lapse, and now no longer have a method of uploading my data there. They have suggested I find an uploader who wants to mirror my work, but frankly, it's very time consuming to get someone up to speed, get the description right, etc all through a secondary person. If someone else uploads there, then yay for them. I'm not going to spend time begging someone to do it though.

I think Dan is looking for something that shows the game cover, game back, media, screen shot, game title, etc... That example doesn't seem to show any of the above other than the game title or gameplay shot. eg: the game list is small and the rest of the page is devoted to art assets and game details.

Others have answered this, but I haven't addressed it myself. There are no simple files that make this work. There is a 1.4gb or so file that has all of the game covers, disc, gameplay, game title, and manuals in LB format. Then there is a batch file that actually generates the MS-DOS.xml file (which populates LB and points it to all of that metadata). It would be a 2gb file of just the stuff needed to make LB see the collection. After that you would need my updated setup files, updated util.zip file to overwrite the existing one from the old collection, and an updated gamesadv.zip file (1.2gb) in order to get the updated manuals and all of the other extras that each game sees. There is no simple file or small pack I can put out that does this. If it was that easy, it wouldn't have taken me very long to release an LB compatible version of my pack =)

Well, not every ScummVM game is a DOS game. So no. ScummVM supports many Windows, Macintosh, Apple II, Atari ST, and Amiga games as well. Maybe even a C64 game or two. There are fairly clear directions available earlier in the thread, but essentially you copy your existing exodos folder into your new folder. My launchbox files are looking for a subfolder called "exodos", in which it expects to find a games folder with all of the games. If you have questions about the structure and/or my preior directions aren't very clear, then I suggest downloading the torrent but not actually starting it yet. Instead look at the intended file structure. It is really simple. c:\exodos\exodos\ The first exodos folder is where your going to point the torrent to download. the second exodos folder is where you place your existing collection (as is, so it has meagre in the root folder, and then a "games" subfolder, etc...)

I marked every adult game with an A- Adult rating. You can use launchbox to filter by rating, and then you can select the entire A - Adult category and either hide it or delete them. If you delete them, it only removes them from the front end, it does not delete the actual game. If you ever wanted them back, you could re-run the setup.bat file, which would rebuild the MS-DOS xml file with all of the games again. So deleting them from the front end doesnt cause permanent damage, but i does prevent them from being launched from the front end.

Luckily I had months worth of work already sunk into Vol 1 & 2. So all I've had to do over the past few weeks is clean up metadata in the front end. I have a rough migration tool that brings some of the data over, and I have the work fistydollars has done in the range of A-H. However I'm still cleaning up the genres, series, extras, etc... Then for the games he hasn't gotten to in the games db yet, I'm having to enter a lot more info and transfer a lot of game images. Luckily for me, the RPG volume is only a third the size of the Adventure volume. So I'm hoping to have it done by next week, depending on my shoulder. For volumes 3-5, I'm still adding games, writing conf files, and creating the first pass of metadata. So I don't expect any of those to hit until January or February at the earliest.

Maybe it gives me enough time to get vol 2 out in time for it.

I don't believe there is any drawback to changing the platform to eXoDOS. The scraper won't immediately recognize and link games when you run a scan, but as of right now... that may actually be a good thing.

You need to forward your ports then. While you can technically still upload & download, your speeds will be affected and the number of people who can connect to you can be severely impacted, which makes it very difficult to seed back and maintain ratio.

That makes it free for you. So if you want to use your free ticket, you are welcome to. But that is a decision for you to make. Each day, one year from the date you signed up at PD, you get a custom free ticket to use as you see fit. edit: looks like you just realized this. As a mod at PD I can make the torrent free for everyone, but with our holiday 12 days of PD coming up, I see no need to.

It's uploaded. Should be public pretty quickly. As for my health, I have had herniated discs in my back for the past 10 years or so. Generally I'm ok, I just have to be careful with heavy lifting and such. Last Thursday I was carrying my son during this Christmas Event we went to and something slipped or moved or tore, I'm not sure. What I do know is I lost all feeling in my right arm and massive pain shot through my neck and shoulder. Injected steroids got me moving again and have allowed me to use my right arm enough to manipulated my mouse and check email. It has been bothering me that I didn't get this posted, as I'd like it to be seeded fairly well for the 12 Days of Pleasuredome event.

Ok, a few things here: It won't be going up tonight. File copying is taking too long. I'm hoping for tomorrow, however it may be sort of late as I'm taking my kids to a Christmas light show/ice skating place (which is a big deal in Texas when it's been in the high 80's for the past month) Just to be clear, I am only releasing Vol 1: Adventure tomorrow. I still have to work through the other 4 volumes in terms of getting them fully integrated into LaunchBox. Also, I'm still working through my list of games to add to Vol IV and V. I'm figuring it will be a few months before all 5 volumes of version 3 are released. Win3xO will follow. I don't have an ETA on that one yet. Apart from the few weeks it will take to get all of the games added, I also have to run some scraping magic to determine how many new games will be included in the update. From a realistic perspective, it will likely be late next spring before it is ready. If earlier, then hey, happy surprise for everyone involved. Win3x will be easier to integrate though, as it is not split into multiple volumes and very few people have a Windows 3x platform already setup in their launchbox. So no worries here. Finally, I understand concerns folks have over my setup messing with their existing launchbox. I can tell you, I would never suggest anyone download my torrent directly on top of their existing LB install. While I can't think of anything in particular that would go wrong, it just feels like bad practice to me. Download this to it's own folder. I'm no launchbox expert, but the way I understand it is each platform is populated by it's own xml file. My set contaisn no xml file other than an MS-DOS one. So if you already have a dos games list with it's own stuff and you don't want to loose that, then you may need to re-assign my games to a new platform, such as eXoDOS. However, if you want my pack to be your MS-DOS platform, then I don't see any issues. Just copy the platform xml to your install of launchbox (in the data folder), copy the manuals, images, and finally the eXoDOS folder to your primary launchbox folder. This should populate it with all of my games without affecting any of your other stuff. To be very honest, I believe you can just copy the entire launchbox folder (after running my setup.bat) to your existing LB folder without it hurting anything. But doing the above steps would ensure that nothing wonky happens. cleverest, if you want to test things, you can just copy the MS-DOS.xml file to your platforms folder and start launchbox. It should show my entire pack, but it will be missing all the cover art, screen shots, and nothing will launch. Copying the image & manual folders will fix the metadata, and copying the exodos folder will make the games work. Hopefully that helps a bit. I've tested it against my main install and everything went fine. But I've also learned over time that things can and will screw up for no reason sometimes. So i tend to be overly cautious. Maybe backup your existing DATA folder if you want to be super over protective safe. It's probably not a bad idea anyways, even if you don't install eXoDOS. You wouldn't want to loose all of your work due to one of those files randomly getting jacked up.
