Anyone perhaps know of a app/website where I can easily create a clearlogo with zero skill? I made a few custom playlists (Might and Magic, Ultima, etc), and would like to have a clearlogo for BigBox vs the empy logo with only the playlist title. I looked at all the logos here, but they seem to be for platforms or genres. Which is great and I have made use of them, but for something specific like this, I have not been able to find anything I like.

Problem solved. I had downloaded the pdf +text version, but it alters the file name by adding a +text at the end of the pdf. So I just downloaded the 2K non text pdf files and so far the filenames match the rom names fine.

I recently grabbed higher res versions of all of the snes game manuals. This will look better if launched on a tv from ten feet away. But now my manual field for all of my snes games is broken. Is there an easy way to fix this and still keep the newer version of the game manuals?

This happens to me once in a while. Does it resume, but not display a progress bar? Or do I need to run the import again? Thank you.

I like the new default plus theme, but it doesn't play videos automatically even though I do have Show Videos checked under Game Details.

Hi, thanks for the response. I do run LB natively on my home laptop, but this is my work laptop. It has enough resources to run a vm, so I was just kind of curious how LB would run in a virtual environment on that device. I do have OpenEmu installed as well, but that is so lacking in bells and whistles that it just leaves me wishing that I was using LB instead. This was more just for fun and metadata browsing with some light game playing during lunch hour or sitting by the fire at the cottage. My MSI laptop is way more capable for gaming, but it's heavier and bulkier to carry around. It's kind of nice to have a lightweight device like my M2 Air to take to the cottage instead to sit by the fire and watch media or do some LB based gaming. This is not a critical or daily driver build at all.

I recently created a Windows 11 vm on my M2 Mac. This forces me to use Windows ARM. Launchbox seems to work fine but it crashes a few times per day. At least so far, only been playing with it on my Mac for one day. I was just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with that combo-- M1/M2 Mac, Parallels and Windows 11 ARM vm?

Thank you. I do use MAME standalone and I don't emulate any PS platforms and I don't even know what Citra is, so I likely am not emulating that platform either. It's only Intellivision and Gamecube that are the issue for me right now.

Would anyone have any tips on getting Gamecube to work with Retroarch?

I guess I'll have to dig in and figure this out. Out of 15 platforms imported only Gamecube and Intellivision have issues. Not too bad.

Installed Dolphin to give it a try. Yuck, that did not go well. The games won't even launch, I get a bunch of shader errors and some other stuff. Plus with Dolphin, I don't get full screen or bezels or anything.

I didn't go with Dolphin. I just went with the default emulator, RA. Should I use Dolphin instead?

Imported some Gamecube roms for the first time but when I launch one I only get a black screen. Anyone else had this?

I'm wondering if there any icons (perhaps community crafted that are freely available) for playlists when they appear in platform view in bigbox? For example, I like to create a separate rpg playlist for 8 and 16 bit consoles. I also like to have them appear in platform view. This all works great, but all the default icons are super looking and then you scroll to the custom ones and they just stand out so badly. It's basically just the icon with bright white lettering saying "Genesis RPG" or some such. Would there be any cool pre-made icons that the community makes available for these? Would love to pretty them up a bit.

I would like the background art (in Bigbox) to a little bit less opaque. I can't really see the fanart all that well with default settings. Is there a setting for this? All I seemed to find was a setting for Coverflow. Is that the one?

It seems almost every time I import something, there is a pretty decent chance it's going to hang on some bezel project download. Is there a reason why this is predictably true? Usually, what I do is cancel, which actually does nothing. I have to kill the LB process. Then I delete the downloadqueue xml from the data folder. After that, what more would I need to do to sort of pick up where I left off? Or am I in a half done kind of state at that point? Thank you.

Ah, I think I have it. I didn't know that I needed to put the roms into the mame install folder.

I did not do a full mameset import as I only really care about a few classic arcade games. So I installed whatever current version of mame64. When I try to launch a game, my screen will go full screen black for about half a second, then back to LB. Would anyone have some pointers on what more I may need to do? Thank you

Thank you! It's been a while since I have setup a new LB install and I always forget that setting. It's a bit confusing as I look in the View settings and see autoplay video checked and figure that is all that's needed. Thanks again.

Bumping this hoping to maybe get some insight. I have done another full re-install of LB and have not touched a single theme option, and have tried every single LB theme, but I cannot get any videos. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. The videos are downloaded from emumovies fine, but nothing plays in LB. I thought it was a matter of theme selection, but I don't think so.
