I usually create a small handful of playlists with every LB install. I then have them show up in the platforms category in BB. I downloaded some clear logos from here and used one in a playlist and it looks and works fine. I tried adding one to a different playlist and I just can't get it to work. Out of frustration, I tried the one "known working" logo on the second list and it worked. But now, no matter what I do I just cannot get any other logo to work on that list. It just keeps displaying that one "known working" logo in BB. Even if I remove all images from that playlist, it still show that same logo as the first list is using. So I don't really think there is anything wrong with the other logos after all. Does this sound strange? Any suggestions on what I can do? It really breaks the visual experience when browsing on the tv with BigBox to have playlists in the platform wheel with either no image at all, or duplicate image on any custom playlist. Thank you

I purchased a new NUC to run some stuff, including Launchbox, and did a fresh install yesterday. I've been a very long time user of LB/BB and have it running on my laptop as well. I noticed, however, that the BigBox starting page seems to be quite cluttered now? Things like Feeling Lucky, Recently Added, etc, etc. I do not want these and they don't appear on my laptop install, so I'm a bit puzzled. Could someone please point me to how I can get a lean, quiet BigBox staring page back? Thank you.

No worries. Thank you for the input. It's not super important. It's really only one game: D&D:Warriors of the Eternal Sun. I have a party built up to a certain level and I usually just move that save game from system to system to save me starting over and rolling a whole new party. I can do that. Might even be more fun as it's been awhile since I've done that.

I understand LB has nothing to do with the saves. I just thought someone else may have ran into the same thing. I always load whatever core is recommended by LB when I first import. Never had a problem with then copying my save games from my Windows LB install to the saves folder in Retroarch on my nvidia shield(s). Except for this time. Was just looking here in case it seemed familiar with anyone here.

This was for Sega Genesis, btw.

I installed LB for Android on a new shield 2019 pro that I picked up for a second TV in my house. Normally I can copy a saved game from one system to the next and put it in the retroarch saves folder and everything is fine. For some reason, with this install, that no longer seems to work. There were no changes in file name, etc. So, I'm a bit puzzled as to why. I thought maybe someone here might have some experience with this.

I looked at every xaml file in the themes folder for Emblem and tried keyword search "Casino" to see if I could find where this is defined, but no results.

I love this theme, but when in a platforms games section it breaks it down into helpful genres, but for my tastes there are too many of them. I don't really care about Casino, Education, and several others. Is there a way to only show certain genres and clean it up a bit? Thank you

Anyone perhaps know of a app/website where I can easily create a clearlogo with zero skill? I made a few custom playlists (Might and Magic, Ultima, etc), and would like to have a clearlogo for BigBox vs the empy logo with only the playlist title. I looked at all the logos here, but they seem to be for platforms or genres. Which is great and I have made use of them, but for something specific like this, I have not been able to find anything I like.

Problem solved. I had downloaded the pdf +text version, but it alters the file name by adding a +text at the end of the pdf. So I just downloaded the 2K non text pdf files and so far the filenames match the rom names fine.

I recently grabbed higher res versions of all of the snes game manuals. This will look better if launched on a tv from ten feet away. But now my manual field for all of my snes games is broken. Is there an easy way to fix this and still keep the newer version of the game manuals?

This happens to me once in a while. Does it resume, but not display a progress bar? Or do I need to run the import again? Thank you.

I like the new default plus theme, but it doesn't play videos automatically even though I do have Show Videos checked under Game Details.

Hi, thanks for the response. I do run LB natively on my home laptop, but this is my work laptop. It has enough resources to run a vm, so I was just kind of curious how LB would run in a virtual environment on that device. I do have OpenEmu installed as well, but that is so lacking in bells and whistles that it just leaves me wishing that I was using LB instead. This was more just for fun and metadata browsing with some light game playing during lunch hour or sitting by the fire at the cottage. My MSI laptop is way more capable for gaming, but it's heavier and bulkier to carry around. It's kind of nice to have a lightweight device like my M2 Air to take to the cottage instead to sit by the fire and watch media or do some LB based gaming. This is not a critical or daily driver build at all.

I recently created a Windows 11 vm on my M2 Mac. This forces me to use Windows ARM. Launchbox seems to work fine but it crashes a few times per day. At least so far, only been playing with it on my Mac for one day. I was just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience with that combo-- M1/M2 Mac, Parallels and Windows 11 ARM vm?

Thank you. I do use MAME standalone and I don't emulate any PS platforms and I don't even know what Citra is, so I likely am not emulating that platform either. It's only Intellivision and Gamecube that are the issue for me right now.

Would anyone have any tips on getting Gamecube to work with Retroarch?

I guess I'll have to dig in and figure this out. Out of 15 platforms imported only Gamecube and Intellivision have issues. Not too bad.

Installed Dolphin to give it a try. Yuck, that did not go well. The games won't even launch, I get a bunch of shader errors and some other stuff. Plus with Dolphin, I don't get full screen or bezels or anything.

I didn't go with Dolphin. I just went with the default emulator, RA. Should I use Dolphin instead?
