  1. Thank you for the response. Is there a particular Retroarch core that I should pick, in your opinion? Is Retroarch an okay choice, or should I install MAME, do you think?
  2. There are only about 20 - 30 or so mame roms that I care to play. Basically just the 80's classics--asteroids, donkey kong, space invaders, etc. The import tool wants a full romset, but I don't want to import that many that I will probably never play. What would be the best way to import a small number of mame roms like that?
  3. I am guessing the default theme. I just installed fresh and did not select any other theme.
  4. Thank you. Just looked and that option is already checked. They do work in BigBox, though.
  5. LB for Windows. I recently did a re-install and have finished with all the metadata collection. When I view a game in LB, I don't see the video. I looked at the properties and I can see that there is a video snap .mp4 that was downloaded, but don't recall how to get it to show when browsing games.
  6. Apparently the 6th or 7th time is the charm. Although I mapped the 4 buttons the way I prefer, when I load a game, they are back to the RA defaults. sigh
  7. Well now the play store version won't install. It's failed three times now and any subsequent attempts show nothing happens at all. No directories created, nothing. Android is fun.
  8. I tried the sideload version but that just ended up that no roms would play at all. They just loaded to a black screen. Going to try the play store version again...
  9. Oh, thank you. I did not know that. I am struggling to get consistent controller functionality and it's driving me slightly crazy. I will try the sideloaded version.
  10. I found a view that does contain a text description. Emblem, horizontal banners. So the data is there, it's just a matter of view, I guess.
  11. Not sure if I did something wrong, but I don't see any text describing a game. I see the title and release date, but no description. I can get images and video, seems odd that there is no text description. I am new to LB on Android, so maybe this is just how it is and I don't know. If so, that is fine. I just want to make sure I didn't miss something when importing.
  12. Just started revisiting LB for Android yesterday, so please bear with me. I have my consoles all setup pretty well so far, I think. I imported some mame roms for the arcade platform, but I think the "this is a full romset" option caused it to put entries in for a ton of roms that I don't have and am not interested in. I only have about 2 dozen mame roms that I care about. How can I go back and remove all that so that I can import those mame roms without the full romset button checked?
  13. I can kind of get there with the default controls, I just don't like how it wants to map the buttons differently than how they are on gamepads. For example, why does Retroarch want A to be B, and X to be Y, etc? Makes no sense at all, and if I change them, for some reason in game I have no navigation controls or anything. In fact only the Select key works. I did figure out how to setup an exit combo though...yay
  14. Wow, trying to map buttons in Retroarch is stunningly unintuitive.
  15. Nevermind. It's working now. I had to launch Retroarch separately at least once to grant it some necessary permissions.
  16. Just installed Launchbox on my nvidia shield. It's been a very long time since I have tried to get LB running on Android. It's installed, but games launch to a black window. It's not LB, as I tried with Reset Collection and the same thing happened. I did some reading and saw some suggestion that Retroarch needs to be installed on local storage. I have no idea how to do that. I have adopted storage with an external SSD drive. I don't really get an option on where to install something. It could be someting else, I think I only saw one person make that comment. Any ideas?
  17. So far this is not very much fun. I had forgotten how annoying Android setups can be.
  18. Well, I rebooted and now the game does not stick on Launching...but instead goes to a black screen forever.
  19. I'm just using the default Retroarch Plus for platform.
  20. Probably not license related, but it won't launch a Sega game. It just sits at Launching... forever.
  21. One other quick, possibly related question, if you don't mind. When I go to import games, I tried Sega Genesis first, and it went fine until I hit the license limit. I noticed, now, though that if I try to import more, it no longer sees all the roms folders. For example, it does not see my SNES folder to import. Would that be due to the license limit being hit, do you think?
