  1. Oh, maybe these are what I am looking for? https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/28-playlist-clear-logos/
  2. I'm wondering if there any icons (perhaps community crafted that are freely available) for playlists when they appear in platform view in bigbox? For example, I like to create a separate rpg playlist for 8 and 16 bit consoles. I also like to have them appear in platform view. This all works great, but all the default icons are super looking and then you scroll to the custom ones and they just stand out so badly. It's basically just the icon with bright white lettering saying "Genesis RPG" or some such. Would there be any cool pre-made icons that the community makes available for these? Would love to pretty them up a bit.
  3. I would like the background art (in Bigbox) to a little bit less opaque. I can't really see the fanart all that well with default settings. Is there a setting for this? All I seemed to find was a setting for Coverflow. Is that the one?
  4. It seems almost every time I import something, there is a pretty decent chance it's going to hang on some bezel project download. Is there a reason why this is predictably true? Usually, what I do is cancel, which actually does nothing. I have to kill the LB process. Then I delete the downloadqueue xml from the data folder. After that, what more would I need to do to sort of pick up where I left off? Or am I in a half done kind of state at that point? Thank you.
  5. Ah, I think I have it. I didn't know that I needed to put the roms into the mame install folder.
  6. I did not do a full mameset import as I only really care about a few classic arcade games. So I installed whatever current version of mame64. When I try to launch a game, my screen will go full screen black for about half a second, then back to LB. Would anyone have some pointers on what more I may need to do? Thank you
  7. Thank you! It's been a while since I have setup a new LB install and I always forget that setting. It's a bit confusing as I look in the View settings and see autoplay video checked and figure that is all that's needed. Thanks again.
  8. Bumping this hoping to maybe get some insight. I have done another full re-install of LB and have not touched a single theme option, and have tried every single LB theme, but I cannot get any videos. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. The videos are downloaded from emumovies fine, but nothing plays in LB. I thought it was a matter of theme selection, but I don't think so.
  9. Thank you for the response. Is there a particular Retroarch core that I should pick, in your opinion? Is Retroarch an okay choice, or should I install MAME, do you think?
  10. There are only about 20 - 30 or so mame roms that I care to play. Basically just the 80's classics--asteroids, donkey kong, space invaders, etc. The import tool wants a full romset, but I don't want to import that many that I will probably never play. What would be the best way to import a small number of mame roms like that?
  11. I am guessing the default theme. I just installed fresh and did not select any other theme.
  12. Thank you. Just looked and that option is already checked. They do work in BigBox, though.
  13. LB for Windows. I recently did a re-install and have finished with all the metadata collection. When I view a game in LB, I don't see the video. I looked at the properties and I can see that there is a video snap .mp4 that was downloaded, but don't recall how to get it to show when browsing games.
  14. Apparently the 6th or 7th time is the charm. Although I mapped the 4 buttons the way I prefer, when I load a game, they are back to the RA defaults. sigh
  15. Well now the play store version won't install. It's failed three times now and any subsequent attempts show nothing happens at all. No directories created, nothing. Android is fun.
  16. I tried the sideload version but that just ended up that no roms would play at all. They just loaded to a black screen. Going to try the play store version again...
  17. Oh, thank you. I did not know that. I am struggling to get consistent controller functionality and it's driving me slightly crazy. I will try the sideloaded version.
  18. I found a view that does contain a text description. Emblem, horizontal banners. So the data is there, it's just a matter of view, I guess.
  19. Not sure if I did something wrong, but I don't see any text describing a game. I see the title and release date, but no description. I can get images and video, seems odd that there is no text description. I am new to LB on Android, so maybe this is just how it is and I don't know. If so, that is fine. I just want to make sure I didn't miss something when importing.
  20. Just started revisiting LB for Android yesterday, so please bear with me. I have my consoles all setup pretty well so far, I think. I imported some mame roms for the arcade platform, but I think the "this is a full romset" option caused it to put entries in for a ton of roms that I don't have and am not interested in. I only have about 2 dozen mame roms that I care about. How can I go back and remove all that so that I can import those mame roms without the full romset button checked?
  21. I can kind of get there with the default controls, I just don't like how it wants to map the buttons differently than how they are on gamepads. For example, why does Retroarch want A to be B, and X to be Y, etc? Makes no sense at all, and if I change them, for some reason in game I have no navigation controls or anything. In fact only the Select key works. I did figure out how to setup an exit combo though...yay
  22. Wow, trying to map buttons in Retroarch is stunningly unintuitive.
  23. Uhm how do I exit a game?
