  1. I have the game Dungeon Master in Launchbox, aimed at the FSuae launcher and I get a black screen. Adams family in Launchbox aimed at fsuae launcher works simply like that? Anyone know what to try testing please?
  2. Anyone know about WinUae Loader? Just discovered that ? Does this do anything different ? http://headsoft.com.au/index.php?category=winuaeloader Also Im wondering if anyone has been successful using gamebase to Launchbox? thanks
  3. Bedwyr said Dumb idea but maybe a solution. Why not dump screenshots into your front images directory, replacing the box covers for the system and refresh the images? You could technically do that, but Launchbox add's a -01 at the end of every snap downloaded. Next idea? ^^ I'd suggest looking for a complete pack of snaps really. Then dumping them into the Front folder so they are all named correctly and like you say, just refresh images. done.
  4. Thanks for response. Does this mean unless we use WHDload without savestates, it's impossible to add Amiga games which use multiple disks? Even if we have to do it 1 game at a painful time lol :)
  5. "What do you mean how to import multiple Amiga games" I mean how do you add more than 1 game at a time to launchbox for Amiga. Since Amiga games using WinUae have multiple disks per game, you can't drag and drop a collection of disks into Launchbox, or essentially you're adding disk 2, 3, 4, etc as they are individual games. "Are WHD files not 1 file?" Yes, but they are useless because they prevent save states. The emulators for Amiga, like any other, have save states, but they do not work with WHD, which is why it's not possible to use them. "If it's 1 file, just add folder" Do you mean put all for example 4 disks into a folder, then drag drop the folder into launchbox and it should auto mount disks 2 3 4? Please forget everything about WHD, because whilst they work fine, it's not possible to use save states, and that renders them useless. You can't save games either since it doesn't write to harddrive format, only floppies, therefore when play really long games like Dungeon Master, there is no way to save, meaning it's impossible to playthrough. I'm trying, like many I see over other forums, trying to go BACK to floppy version because of save games, using Winuae, and trying to add multiple games which consist of multiple floppy disks, so that they are recognised as single games. Even if there's a way to manually add a game using disk 1, and then get the extra disks to load into disk drives 2, 3, 4 etc it would be useful. Some games used even more than 4 I believe. So in short, How can multiple games consisting of multiple disks be added so they are 1 game recognising all disks, using winuae, which enables save states possible :) Thanks (I've been trying endlessly on and off for about a YEAR now sigh so exhausted phew!)
  6. Can anyone who has done this successfully, please explain how to get all the games from Amiga Winuae into Launchbox in one go? Or is it only possible setting each one individually at a time? I use winuae (Fsuae is not good, because the WHDLoad doesn't allow savestates currently) There must be someone who has discovered a way to import multiple Amiga games into launchbox? The winner of this question will be seen as a God to everyone here I'm sure.
  7. Adding Amiga games to Launchbox, just referenced to the Launcher works perfectly for getting the whole WHD database done as a drag drop to Launchbox. MASSIVE problem however, is that WHDLoad doesn't support savestates, and I don't fancy starting long games over and over again. Not so much free time now we are older :) Has anyone discovered a work-around for save states yet please?
  8. Does anyone know where to get the latest WHD complete Games, demos collections please? Mine is outdated now I think. There are tons of different versions online, different websites, etc, just no idea which WHD to get? Thanks.
  9. Exactly, it would be so efficient to just have the option to do this from within the "Games manager / Launchbox" because essentially that is the whole point of having a front end... organizing your library / collection. It would really add a great deal of time saving, and usefulness, and be very easy to implement. :) DOS76 you wouldn't have to use it, just like there are features that maybe others don't use which some people like. The more useful features a product has the better, obviously the better and more appealing it becomes. I'm using explorer now as you say you do, because it's the only option, and when you have to first look closely at the file path to see that it's a capital letter, a space, an underscore or a dot which is the only difference (hence a duplicate file) it's very inconvenient to have to seach individually every single time for that specific file, double check you're deleting the duplicate one you don't want to keep... It's hell!! This would solve all that with a simple click of a button followed by a safe confirmation. Perfect.
  10. I've spent so much time with duplicates for whatever reason I found a duplicate game in there somehwere, having to open the duplicate for edit, finding out what the name of that game file is which caused the duplicate, navigating to the folder and deleting it. All this could be done with a simple option of, "Delete Game & Related files" "Are you certain you want to delete the game files as well, they will be permanently gone, yes forever?" YES / NO ---- This one simple function would cure sooooooo much pain!!!!!!! Many thanks! :) Launchbox is the greatest!
  11. May I ask please are we talking for this fix? like a matter of weeks? or longer, because I have my scummvm collection ready to use for Launchbox, am very keen to use launchbox for this, but it's not currently possible. There is no current work around other than importing very slowly 1 by 1, and only to the NONE platform. Thankyou
  12. Thanks Brad, I think it would be 10 minute fix honestly to make this work. You already have the ScumVM tab which works great for importing 1 at a time, but when you use that, as I mentioned above, it simply imports them without assigning a platform. So they are imported so to speak into the NONE platform. Sure they appear in the NONE platform list fine, but there is no way to assign them to a ScumVM platform. This is more of a bug than any new features. Solution: Prevent Launchbox from disablling / greying out the scummVM tab when assigning to a platform. It's horrible to have all ScummVM games imported to the NONE folder :( Thankyou.
  13. 1. When you use the built in ScummVM tab Launchbox has for importing game folders, this tab having filled in all the details, will become 'greyed' out if you add a platform to the game afterwards, losing all the references/information/paths you just entered. 2. If you don't add a platform however, it won't appear in the list... :S Therefore you can currently only add a game without being able to launch it using ScummVM game importer tab Or you can have it in a platform list that doesn't launch. Am I missing something here? or has the ScummVM importer tab broken since last update? Thanks
  14. Well you solved the mystery of rotation. Because using 2 separate Emulators one for horizontal and one for Portrait will keep the correct rotations when loading games through Launchbox. The ONLY issue left, is the full screen. There is definitely no full screen option in there at all, however alt + enter does make it full screen which is just plain silly. Why would they leave that option out? Especially being the most accurate DS emulator out there?
  15. DOS76 said @DudeChester for games that are rotated on launch I created a copy of my DeSmuME folder except the .ini file and named it DeSmuMe Horizontal now when ever I discover a game that launches wrong I just go into edit and change the emulator to the horizontal version. I named it Horizontal before I realized that changing the LCD layout wouldn't fix the issue but using rotation would. hmmm I like it! That's rather a genius idea actually :D Is it possible to change that ini file to be full screen also? I tried changing the window sizes, but it didn't seem to effect anything thanks
  16. So batch files for each individual games would be the best setup for Nintendo DS it seems. I've never made a batch file before, bu they're pretty straight forwards so far. (added /p= so I can see what it's doing) I've got the emulator running, but then how would I relate that to a rom in a completely different directory using a batch file? d: cd "D:\LaunchBoxExtra\Emulators\Nintendo DS" Start DeSmuME_0.9.11_x64.exe set /p= --- This can actually work if your nds file has the file type associated with Desmume, however to send alt and Enter as part of that bat file is still the same brick wall... -_-
  17. Well I been searching for a very long time over weeks for this. There are tons of people out there using Launchbox who don't want to use Retro acrch for various reasons, such as the terrible sound emulation, when compared with Desmume. There are always plenty of questions as how to go about full screening Launchbox, but actually NO one has resolved this issue across any forum. Nintendo DS emulation also faces major issues when launching through front ends, because every game needs specifc setups. Some games play portrait mode, some horizontal, which means every game needs individual setups somehow, or you'd be playing many of the games sideways. Really before Launchbox can consider working with DS emulation, it needs some way of setting these rotations up, along with "Should the screen be above the other screen, or to the side" 1 script or batch file is never going to fix these issuse then, and it will require it's own unique NDS tab (Like ScummVM and Dos has) ideally with options for users to choose between rotated mode etc. Emulating NDS on a phone is easy to do, and comes with all the options for screen rotations, (Which it individually saves for each and every game rom) Maybe a better question would be, what would currently be the best way to play an NDS game through Launchbox, so that it remembers it's own individual screen rotations and sizes when launching, based on the last launch (How mobile phone app works) Thanks
  18. without knowing any scripting, I can see under Manage Emulators > Edit Emulator There is a tab called "AutoHotKey Script" Surely this must be where it would go, so it's just a case of finding what goes in here right?
  19. SentaiBrad said Yes, the program I said: AutoHotKey. but when you don't know what or how that is :) It's impossible. I'm sure it's easy when you know how, but where is this found please? Do you mean the program as Desmume or Launchbox?
  20. I've seen others using some feature where it auto presses Alt + Enter upon launching. Do you know how to add an auto alt+Enter please?
  21. Is anyone successfully using Desmume with Full screen on startup please? I've tried all of the NDS emulators, and Desmume is the best for me in every way possible, (apart from this full screen on startup) There has to be a default piece of code one can add in launchbox to make this happen? Thanks,
  22. Is there really no way to get Desmume running in full screen...? Seems such a simple thing to do. (Well it is for every other emulator) Is there not something we can add into the command line to replicate Alt+Enter upon loading a rom through launchbox please? I tried running NoGba emulator, but the sound emulation was not accurate, and there is very little in the way of configuration. Desmume has everything dammit, except auto full screen. So please can someone help with a solution to auto fullscreen Desmume on startup, and ill be forever grateful, Thanks.
  23. Ok well this is a very useful thread now :) at least we know this way, emumovies is going to get some new subscribers thanks to launchbox. Launchbox providing direct video download snaps straight into launchbox is easily the most superior of methods. Very time saving. In this case I'll probably pay emumovies again for a new subscription, just to save me using ftp or renaming tools. Great thanks!
  24. SentaiBrad said No, we don't download any videos from EmuMovies. DOS76 Yeah if you have a paid account with EmuMovies then LaunchBox will download videos Come on guys... Whose telling the truth here? :) If Launchbox can download the movies like Dos76 expresses, this changes everything. Thanks.
  25. SentaiBrad said No, we don't download any videos from EmuMovies. If I recall this is one thing we can't do. So even if we did get hundreds of videos, if the videos are named differently to the roms, especially in other platforms, does this mean in Launchbox... to use video, we will have to manually 1 by 1 check all the videos are named the same as the roms? oO Emumovies I know fact doesnt have the same named sega videos to some of my roms. Hmm videos or snaps, videos or snaps....... That is the question! :) Snaps take up a lot less room for sure, and are certainly a lot less hassle, since they can download from emumoives and match up, (for free)
