  1. This is a great research, Cid! Awesome stuff! Apart from some clear problems with the parsing, for the entries that share the exact same info in parenthesis, how does Launchbox handle them? Does it include the name of the ROM as well? That would help, but I wonder what it does so I can emulate on my end.
  2. @rootshell, the latest release should have the out of memory issue resolved. Please try it and let me know when you have a chance. Thanks!
  3. Version: 0183_Beta6b Date: 3/4/2017 5:25am https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B23vaxsfSk1yZjlvYzdhd1hxMUU/view?usp=sharing - Small bug fix causing the copy/move exporter to show cropped in higher resolutions.
  4. Sweet! I will pack the .exe and will release it again soon. Thanks for letting me know!
  5. Can you try replacing your .exe file with this one and seeing if the interface is now fully visible? Lightspeed0183_Beta6.exe Also, what display settings are you using in your machine? Are you resizing fonts?
  6. Oh! Resolution related apparently. Let me take a look in the code.
  7. Yeah, seems like it got a little specific. Both Launchbox and Lightspeed use "Arcade" to define the Mame games platform. If that is changed, I am afraid things will not work correctly. I would backup the launchbox\data folder and try and see what happens. It's likely that games will get duplicated.
  8. 1) Under the paths tab, make sure your paths reflect the correct locations for ROMS and each type of artwork 2) Filter your list and then populate the results into the output listview (buttons 1 and 2) 3) Open the Copy/Move Files Utility and choose "copy Matched", for example. Select anything you want to copy (ROMS, CHDS, snaps etc). Inform the folders where you want to export the ROMS/CHDs, Software lists ROMs/CHDs and artwork. 3) Click go and it will copy any matches present in the output listview into the folder you defined, creating a matching set. Now that you created a "clean set" matching your filtered ROMs you can go ahead and export your list (button 3) so everything matches. If you want to copy roms/artwork into the Launchbox folders instead, there's an option on the right to use the Launchbox folder instead of the destination paths. About the manual, until I get most bugs squashed, I am afraid the updates on the manual will need to wait a bit! -Kris
  9. Try beta6 instead and let me know! I believe the best option for you since you already have parents in there is to, yes, filter and export only the clones into launchbox, then use the merge to library option during export. Once everything exported, use Launchbox's own tool to consolidate everything for you. Cheers.
  10. Version: 0183_Beta6 Date: 3/4/2017 3:35am https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B23vaxsfSk1yRjlZYmI3cEk3VUE/view?usp=sharing Change Log: - Fixed the Crash happening during MAME.xml creation (out of memory) - Fixed a bug causing the consolidated clones ROM info to be duplicated when merging games into the library multiple times - Before modifying Launchbox's data folder, backups are now created automatically under the "launchbox\data\backups" folder, under a folder represented by date and hour of the backup. If something gets broken or corrupted, just refer to the folder containing the files before the corruption and you should be able to restore everything. - Fixed a bug with a very specific Genesis game that was causing date format corruption - Region is now correctly parsed for consolidated games I tried to reproduce the file corruption mentioned above by hammering my library, exporting with either merging or overwrite and I could not get the library to corrupt, but you never know. As usual, please test and report. Cheers, -Kris
  11. Seems like you posted the filtersA snapshot twice. Can I see your filtersB as well? (if what I mentioned above doesn't work).
  12. Frequently when a problem like this arises, the probability that it's related to the matching folders options is high, meaning that you might be missing artwork in a certain artwork folder and LS is forcing to match it, producing an empty list. Try to check off all checkboxes on the right column of your "options" tab and run the filters again. If a list is now visible, that means that a folder path is not informed correctly, has artwork wrongly named or not present at all. If that's the case, you can try checking those boxes on again, one by one, to see which one is causing it to fail. Try it out and let me know!
  13. The date problem was isolated to "Pier Solar and the Great Architects" and is now fixed.
  14. Oh, that's good. Thanks! The game causing the date issue is called "Pier Solar and the Great Architects" and is for Sega Genesis. I will investigate why the date is not parsing correctly for it. Instead of showing a nonexistent month, which should be replaced with "01" for January, it shows the word "the" instead, causing the corruption
  15. The date problem is happening with your Sega Genesis.xml only. Everything else looks fine. Looking into it.
  16. I fixed the problem with the Region not being parsed and the "hack" info is now correct as well. I could not reproduce the other bugs, so I will really need to take a look at your files. Thanks!
  17. This is related to the release date fix that happened in a previous beta, to address the "export" versions I believe. Funny that it just popped for you now. Although it looks ugly, this is minor fix, but I need to be able to track where the problem is first. I know it's a pain, but would you be able to zip your entire "data" folder and sent it to me? I will unzip on my folder to see what's breaking. Thanks!
  18. And that's how I implemented it so fast. It doesn't work! Amazing, isn't it? I'll look into this soon! As usual, thanks for really testing it, man. Very much appreciated! A fix should come soon. -Kris
  19. Beta5 is up with some recently requested features. Please test and let me know if it's working on your side: - Custom command lines for alternative emulators are now fully respected when adding games to the output list, as long as any radio control other than the first one are selected (the first radio control is hard-coded for MAME/MESS only and will force software lists to maintain their mandatory command lines) - Emulators are now named after their .exe name and the clean name is now shown as a description for the radio controls: - Lightspeed can now consolidate clones, just like LaunchBox's latest feature. To do so you will need to check this new option box and make sure that you have "clones" checked on your "filtersA" tab. That way, instead of importing the clones as standalone games, they will be added as additional applications, fully configured and ready to be played in Launchbox (right click context menu): Version: 0183_Beta5 Date: 3/3/2017 1:25am https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B23vaxsfSk1ySi00LWtoRkhXTDQ/view?usp=sharing Please test and report anything funky. Enjoy. -Kris
  20. I just entered the exact same folder you defined for your wheels, exported my lists and the folder is correctly reflected into my platforms.xml. Could you try a clean export as a test? Move your platforms.xml, emulators.xml and the whole platforms folder into a safe backup place, restart lightspeed, double check all your paths and try to export your list again. Does the path still look wrong after doing that? Please try it out when you have the time and let me know. It's my interest to squash any bug and help you guys out since I understand the frustration when it comes to a program not doing exactly what you want it to do!
  21. Thanks for the screenshot. I will investigate what's happening. On the empty folders (the region ones, right?), Launchbox creates those, not Lightspeed.
