Hello, Because I missed the feel of putting quarters into a machine, I ended up building a dedicated 2 player quarter accepter or panel. Currently I have it wired to a cheap USB 'no delay' encoder, which shows up on the USB host side as one game controller. Right now I just have the coin acceptors wired to buttons 11 and 12, so when a coin drops the button gets pressed briefly, which works fine in MAME where you can remap anything however you want. I can't figure out how to setup FinalBurn Neo to use both a regular controller (to play the games) and the "coin" controller (which just needs to send the Back / Coin button presses) at the same time. Is this even possible with FB Neo? I know RetroArch is fairly powerful but also confusing when it comes to stuff like this. Any guidance would be appreciated

I'd like to throw my $0.02 into this thread, as it's a topic I'm interested in. Currently as I write this, the latest Mesen core available for RetroArch is version 0.9.9. The latest stand-alone Mesen is 2.0.0. The developer basically forked off to a new major source tree called Messen2 with this project, but has not (as of now) created a mesen2 RetroArch core. Mesen 0.9.9 does support HD Packs, but doesn't have ALL the features that Mesen2 HD Packs allow for, which is why we have some users reporting "doesn't work" while others do. In my testing, results vary from HD pack to HD pack, because some of them just don't do as much. For example "Duck Hunt HD" actually does work on RetroArch Mesen core, because it's a really simple pack. On the other hand, MetroidHD is amazing and includes both starting from a modified ROM and then auto-patching it with an IPS file for even more customization, AND it uses basically all the features Mesen supports. It DOES NOT work on Retroarch, only Mesen2 natively. I still need to test through various games and stuff, but I believe the main delineator here is simply the Mesen version bump and resulting additional features. For maximum convienience, I believe if you wish to dabble in HD packs, for now, just stick to native builds of Mesen2. It's available on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Mac & Linux use SDL2 rather than .NET6

I have not been working on any emulator stuff for quite a while (as my lack of activity on here would reflect). I don't even remember what OS I was using at the time, nor do I have AHK installed anymore. At some point I'll probably get back into it, but I don't want to make any commitments here that I couldn't keep, so I can't really help. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The XBox One Controller drivers are crazy in Windows 10.

Just a quick shoutout to the AutoRuns utility, which you can also use to manage the stuff that your system is attempting to run at login / boot time. You should be able to use Autoruns to delete the startup entry for the xboxstat.exe and then you can delete the executable itself, since it's useless. -

Woah, that's more complicated than what I've been doing. I use RetroArch's built-in "Hotkey Enable" button feature for this type of stuff. The problem I was trying to solve was that the Playstation DualShock controller is almost a perfect 1:1 mapping for the Xbox controller, with only the Guide button as an extra one. In RetroArch I set the Guide button up as the "Hotkey enable" button, and then have the bumpers & triggers mapped to fast forward, rewind, and save & load. To use these in-game, I have to hold the Guide button and then press like Left Trigger to Rewind (for example). It was a little weird to get used to this setup at first, but it does the trick for me and it's 100% just using RetroArch's native functionality, so I didn't have to even use an AHK script or anything. -

Thanks Brad, I couldn't find that thread for some reason. -

Working for me as well. I have removed & re-added all 6 NES MegaMan titles successfully. Looks like some goofy server-side problem. Sorry to bother you guys -
Can't Login to EmuMovies In Version 7.0-beta 9?

Weird! The tricky bit in isolating this issue is, I'm not sure when I last tried to import ROMs was. I think it's been at least a few days. Good to know it's not an issue just with the Beta, since that saves me downloading the most recent mainline release to test that. -
I don't know if this is the right place to post about Beta issues, but I figured I'd put out a feeler to see if anybody else is having issues. I have verified that on the same machine where LaunchBox is installed & running I can login to files.emumovies.com using an FTP client, and have re-entered my credentials in LaunchBox, but I'm getting errors when I try to import ROMs into LaunchBox since the update this morning. Can anybody confirm?

Well, can't speak for anyone else, but that's totally going in my LaunchBox setup straight away! Devs, consider that my vote for this one

Good job, man! The reason I asked is because I was wondering if would make sense to make a version that says "Final Burn Alpha", since that's the current branch of FB that a lot of people use (as far as I know).

That Final Burn image with Ken from Street Fighter isn't worth trying to save IMO. It's so distorted it took me a minute to even see that's what's in the image, plus a good half of the FB gameset isn't Capcom and Ken isn't even really the "mascot" character from the SF series, so I think it'd make a lot more sense to just have the Final Burn logo be just the icon / logo, or the nice full text logo @ClownClone posted. Honestly, just the icon logo isn't that great because even though I'm a video game nerd who's used emulators since the 90s, I still look at the FB logo and say, "Wait, what is that again?". @ClownClone, did you use a particular font for that, or just make / dig that up somewhere?

What part isn't working for you? Just curious as I spent like a week pulling my hair out trying to figure out the 360 Guide button. Ended up being a combination of things.
