  1. Fair enough SentaiBrad. Hopefully a future release will have images for all the available systems. I took a look at the Silver Ring logo set. Looks very nice, however - I think when selecting a system (at least in Big Box mode), there really needs to be a good picture of the system and the controller - not just a logo. On that note, any plans to add small icons to the platform selection screen in Desktop mode (like other Frontends offer, such as OpenEmU)? Really makes it look nicer and easier to navigate. Edit: realise that the Silver Ring logo set is for the wheel on the left. I was actually referring to a picture of the system that appears in the main window.
  2. Thanks folks. Surprising that a piece of software as polished as LB doesn't have images yet. Thanks for the link thought, I'll try adding them myself!
  3. Well, LB does not seem to see it either.
  4. I have set up a few systems in LB - SNES, NES, Amstrad CPC and Neo Geo (AES). When I go to Big Box mode, I can scroll through these systems and they each have an image of the system. The Neo Geo (AES) has no image however. Is this expected behaviour? Thanks.
  5. Could any of the mods/devs comment on this?
  6. Do does LB lack support for the NEOGEO X controller? And if so, can this support be added as I am sure that I am not the only one with this controller!
  7. Yep, that was turned on already. Nothing in the list there either.
  8. How do I check that?
  9. Funny that Big Box doesn't recognise it, when my Mac does (as a "NEOGEO X Arcade Stick") and the emulators do.
  10. Hitting the enter key on Devices does nothing (apart from making a sound which registers that I selected it).
  11. I don't see any "controller options". Below the two checkboxes it says "Device" though there are no devices listed there.
  12. Yep, I have both enable and use all controllers ticked.
  13. I think so, though it's plugged into a USB-C adapter as the port is USB C. It works fine when playing Neo Geo games.
  14. Thanks for the quick replies! I had tried that, but still doesn't work. When I enable controllers, nothing appears in that windows under "device". If I just go back to the main screen, joystick inputs are still not recognised. If I try and configure controller buttons, the inputs aren't registered there either.
  15. I have a Neo Geo X stick connected via USB. When I run a game (e.g. using Retroarch), the stick is recognised and I can play Neo Geo games using the stick. When I am in Big Box mode I would like to scroll/select games using the stick, but the inputs are not registered. How can I get it to work? Thanks!
  16. I thought I had asked this before, but can't find a record of it. Which MAME romset version works with Launchbox? Or is it independent of Launchbox, and dependent more on the emulator being used? When I was trying to get Neo Geo games to work I think I had to use the 0.149 romset. Thanks.
  17. Is MAMEUIFX still the recommended emulator to use for MAME games in Launchbox? Is it much better than using Retroarch?
  18. Thanks SentaiBrad, I will try the LFN DB. I wonder why that is not the default one with Lunchbox, if it has improvements.
  19. I added some MSDOS games to Launchbox - the King's Quest series. When I try and run one I get the error message: Because of a limitation with DOSBox's command line usage, Launchbox cannot launch games with a single-quote (') character in the folder structure or file name. Please either move the game to a folder that does not contain single-quote characters in it (or its parents), or leave the application path blank and manually run the game in the DOSBox configuration file's [autoexcec] section. Is this expected behaviour? Do I really have to rename all my DOS games which contain a single quote to get this to work? Thanks!
  20. In the Launchbox options menu there is an option to always go fullscreen when viewing images. The images themselves however appear to be shown at their native resolution so can be quite small on a high res monitor. Is there an option to get Launchbox to stretch these images to fill the screen? If not then this would be great, so that I can read the text on the images properly
  21. Spycat - that looks like a good workaround, many thanks. I do have premium and am looking at customising the various colours. But I cannot find the item which changes the colour of the game hover/selection box! I can change all sorts of other things like the colour of the menu bar selection, and even the edges of the colour of the menu bar selection, but I'm struggling with the game selection box! Any help appreciated!
  22. Oh - is there any general timeframe for Launchbox on Mac/OSX? Just wondering how much to invest in Parallels/Windows.
  23. 2016 15" MBP - so Radeon Pro 450 / Intel HD Graphics 530.
  24. Thanks for your input. I was trying to load presents. What I have found is that not all shader presets load - I got things like GEOM, Lottes and Easymode to work, but when I select CRT Royale for example and return to the Retroarch shaders screen, it hasn't loaded it and still displays the previous shader. I am happy that I have got some shaders to work but am unsure as to why some don't seem to load.
  25. I'm struggling to get the shaders working with Retroarch. The platform I am trying to get working is the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (which I have renamed to Nintendo SNES), and the emulator is Retroarch. The core in Retroarch that I am using for this is bsnes_balanced_libretro.dll. When I go into Retroarch and load the bsnes core, then go to quick menu, then shaders, then choose a preset and select it, everything seems well. When I run a SNES game in Launchbox however, no shader effects seem to be applied. I have tried restarting Launchbox. Am I doing something wrong?
