  1. Just looking for some help with installing a theme. I downloaded the file, unzipped the contents into a folder in the Themes folder of Launchbox, then selected the theme in BigBox. However, I get this: What am I doing wrong?
  2. One of the default skins? There is only one default skin in my BigBox menu and it's called "default"? Edit: my mistake - I see that Abstract-Kevlar is one of the skins in your download. I can find it in the folder. Line 52 of the AOStyles.xaml reads: <System:String x:Key="AOSkin">Abstract-Kevlar</System:String> Now what do I do? Do I need to install Visual Studio?
  3. Do I just unzip all the files and put in Minimal-AO directory in themes, and then select it in BigBox? I don't need to install anything else?
  4. I might have chosen the wrong folder before. I chose the right one this time, and it still doesn't look right:
  5. I've only recently installed Launchbox and this is the first time I've tried to install a theme. I have Minimal-IO in the themes directory and selected that in the Big Box menu.
  6. I did that, but it doesn't look anything like in your pictures! I downloaded all of the files for this theme and extracted into the themes directory. After selecting your theme, it looks like this:
  7. Where's the intructions? How do I install this great looking theme?
  8. Thanks for the further replies. I tried anti micro but funnily enough it doesn't see the joystick. Sounds like anti micro would be more hassle than it's worth anyway! Sentai - yes I tried with and without the use all controllers option - no difference. Jason - yes I can image that it could be. It's a fairly cheap joystick - why don't you buy one and you can look into it? I can image that there are other Launchbox users who would like to use the Neo Geo controller.
  9. I just fiddled around with it some more. It is listed as a HID-compliant game controller in Device Manager, and if I go to Game Controllers in control panel, it is listed there (as NEOGEOX Arcade Stick). If I click on properties there, I can test the controller and all inputs seem to be registering no problem. Still doesn't register in LB or BB!
  10. It's great that Launchbox supports various media images; I have a few suggestions for improvements; 1. For the image type, please add cassette (outside), cassette (inside) and cassette (or tape) to the options, to cover older cassette-based systems. 2. Have a button which brings up the art browser (instead of having to right-click on the game and then go to "view images"). I know that there is a keyboard shortcut, but many don't use these (including guests using the app). I would suggest a prominent button in the game details pane. 3. An improved art browser. It would be nice to have a sidebar with thumbnails of the individual images available, rather than the image taking up the full window. 4. The "edit images" part of the edit window is small, cramped and fiddly. It would be worth adding another window/tab and expanding on this. Cheers!
  11. Very nice! One comment - the text on the right looks a bit bunched up and squeezed, with the system selection bar on the left having quite a lot of space. Maybe the text on the right can be given a bit more room?
  12. Fair enough SentaiBrad. Hopefully a future release will have images for all the available systems. I took a look at the Silver Ring logo set. Looks very nice, however - I think when selecting a system (at least in Big Box mode), there really needs to be a good picture of the system and the controller - not just a logo. On that note, any plans to add small icons to the platform selection screen in Desktop mode (like other Frontends offer, such as OpenEmU)? Really makes it look nicer and easier to navigate. Edit: realise that the Silver Ring logo set is for the wheel on the left. I was actually referring to a picture of the system that appears in the main window.
  13. Thanks folks. Surprising that a piece of software as polished as LB doesn't have images yet. Thanks for the link thought, I'll try adding them myself!
  14. Well, LB does not seem to see it either.
  15. I have set up a few systems in LB - SNES, NES, Amstrad CPC and Neo Geo (AES). When I go to Big Box mode, I can scroll through these systems and they each have an image of the system. The Neo Geo (AES) has no image however. Is this expected behaviour? Thanks.
  16. Could any of the mods/devs comment on this?
  17. Do does LB lack support for the NEOGEO X controller? And if so, can this support be added as I am sure that I am not the only one with this controller!
  18. Yep, that was turned on already. Nothing in the list there either.
  19. Funny that Big Box doesn't recognise it, when my Mac does (as a "NEOGEO X Arcade Stick") and the emulators do.
  20. Hitting the enter key on Devices does nothing (apart from making a sound which registers that I selected it).
  21. I don't see any "controller options". Below the two checkboxes it says "Device" though there are no devices listed there.
  22. Yep, I have both enable and use all controllers ticked.
