Hi. Thanks for the reply. In case it might help someone else, I have manually added the lines <RetroAchievementsHash> and also <RetroAchievementsId>. Now when I open LaunchBox, the games appear with the achievements badge even if they are games from two platforms together (Sega CD games in my Genesis platform and Game Boy Color games in my Game Boy platform for example)

What information does the Data/Platform file need for a game to display the achievement badge? I have games from different categories organized as if they were the same (Sega CD games in my Genesis category). So the game's achievement badge does not appear (I understand that because it does not find it among the Genesis games, LaunchBox thinks it is a game without achievements). When you run the game, it does load the achievements without problems and they can be obtained as normal. I want to manually edit the Data/Platform file so that it does show the badge, what information should I modify? Thanks

I haven't quite figured out what changed in version 13.14. When I detected the problem it was because one platform did work (I was playing SNES) and it wasn't until some time later when I tried to switch to Dragon Quest VI on Nintendo DS that I noticed it. Although with the previous version it works, it would be nice if we could find out what has changed in the emulator calls in version 13.15 to be able to update again and not be permanently with the old version.

Thank you for the information. I don't know what could have gone wrong or what the exact solution would be. In the end I have been applying many changes to get it to respond. And thanks for the information on the repository. I have applied some dependency files that I didn't have previously. The strangest thing is that my retro configuration has been set up for a few years and when I got it ready I tested that everything worked. The M3U lists thing has generated some very strange problems for me. As I commented in the previous post, if the game has multiple discs, it did not respond when I opened it. If one of those multiple discs was not the normal general release disc, I was able to run the game. If the game and the additional discs were .chd files, they would not run unless it was a single disc. But if those same multiple disks were inside a .7z it did run (even though the configuration still pointed to the .chd). But if the configuration was to .bin files, it worked directly without doing anything... The .chd files inside .7z are responsive and work, except that they are not recognized by the M3U file. So in the end I use .chd for single disc games and .bin/.cue for multidisc. So in the end I rolled back installed versions, changed some cores, reassigned emulator, put new dependency files and regenerated the multiple disks with different extensions. In some step of all the changes, it has worked. Thanks for the help. If anyone ever has a similar problem, with all these steps it has worked again.

Thanks for the reply Kurtastrophe, but unfortunately it didn't work. Something strange must have happened with the Retroarch integration. Going back to version 13.14 it works, except for PSX games with multiple CDs. If I remove the multiple CDs and leave it at just one, it does work. Also, if I change the multiple CDs and instead of being .chd extension I create a .bin/.cue on a .7z it also works. If I use the Manage Emulators option, it doesn't seem to change anything. I even removed Retroarch completely, reinstalled it and Launchbox only told me that I had set Retroarch as default emulator for Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS and for the other platforms it didn't tell me anything. When I tried to run a SNES game at that time it told me that I didn't have any emulator even though the associated platform was set. (The only way to get those platforms to recognize again that they were assigned to Retroarch was to restore a backup version of the files inside Data/Platforms). Is it created some file in Launchbox that controls the Retroarch integrations and its assigned cores? I would like to try to modify that file manually in case I can identify the problem. In Data/Emulators.xml I have seen that it is assigned and the command line to run the core appears, but maybe the fact of using Additional Applications for multiple CDs affects somehow. Thanks

Hello For a long time I have been using Launchbox with Retroarch without problems, but now something strange is not allowing me to play games. When trying to run a game from Launchbox, nothing happens. Retroarch doesn't even open, no error message. But if I use the option to open Retroarch and inside I run the game, it works without problems. At this point I have done a lot of tests with Associated Platforms, changing the cores, updating, going back to older versions... and nothing. Last year I even played Dragon Quest IV on DS without problems, but now I was going to start VI and it's impossible. Even if I had to relocate everything, I did a clean install from scratch. Installed Launchbox 13.18, let it import Nintendo DS games, it automatically installed Retroarch... I let it do everything by default, so as not to touch anything unusual. And it doesn't work. It's getting pretty frustrating that after so long organizing a collection to one's liking, now something that used to work no longer does. Are there any possible ideas as to what may have changed? Thanks EDIT: It turns out that the problem has occurred since version 13.15 I had rolled back to earlier versions, but not enough. With version 13.14 it works. Lately I've been playing SNES games (and with SNES there is no problem), so I didn't detect any problem when the version changed. Could there have been a change with how the command to call RetroArch is executed?

I have LaunchBox in a OneDrive folder to play it in a desktop, laptop or SteamDeck. I also have it on my android phone and I have no problem sharing saves/states/etc . I tried just moments ago. I only had to make sure that the cores I was using in the android version were the same that the desktop version. Maybe Retroarch directories changed somehow?

Hi everyone I was thinking that it would be great to have an android widget. Is it planned for any future update? You could see a random game in your phone ready to play (and being random every day it would suggest a different one). May near an option for last played or something like that. I think LaunchBox is amazing, so having a way to see more of it in my phone would be great.

How to view play time in lastest android beta release?

Hello Is it difficult to add the option by ourselves? I'm using The Grid view and it would be great to see playtime next to the year and genre Thanks -

I want to see a video... now I don't want to
SolarisSpell replied to SolarisSpell's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Thanks again Actually, 'Aplicaciones/Versiones adicionales' is the correct translation. I don't think it should be changed. Is just that I personally prefer to not have cropped text, so changing it to 'Otras versiones / CDs' (Other versions / Discs) makes sense to me, but maybe not for everyone else. Thats why I think I should edit my own files but not the official translation. I have used the Zeta Resource Editor of the thread you have provieded me and have already opened and changed the line I mentioned. So, now I don't know how to finish. Having changed the .resx file, how do I insert it in my LaunchBox? Thanks for your answers -
I want to see a video... now I don't want to
SolarisSpell replied to SolarisSpell's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Thanks for the answer If I delete the code of the grid, the video dissapears, but nothing is shown. Last year you helped me to show a clear logo in the BigBox theme so I used that info and tried copy-pasting others part of code to get it to work as I wanted and now the video has been changed for a game title screenhot. Thanks a lot If someone is interestedm this is what I used: <coverFlow:FlowImage ImageType="Screenshot - Game Title" DataContext="{Binding SelectedGame}" Grid.Row="1" Stretch="Uniform" HorizontalAlignment="Center" VerticalAlignment="Top" Visibility="{Binding TitleVisibility}" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality"/> For my second question, I wanted to know if we can manually edit the translation of the LaunchBox interface 'Additional app/version' has been translated as 'Aplicaciones/versiones adicionales' in spanish. Which is an accurate translation. But it's such a long sentence that it's cropped to 'Aplicaciones/versiones adici...'. So I just want to edit it to make it shorter. Thanks -
Hi everyone I am trying a small modification to the default theme, but I am not succeeding. When I select which game I want to play, I see on the left the details of the game and its video (this is the Wall4 view). When I select the game, in the menu to run it I see the same video again and it also restarts. I would like that it is not a video in that second screen, but the startup screenshot. Is this a difficult adjustment or could it be done with some small change? Thanks PS: I would like to ask another question in case there is no need to open more topics: Can I change the text of the Launchbox translation? On the left you can see that 'Additional application/version' is such a long text that it is cut off, so I would like to modify it manually. Is this possible or we don't have access to the translations? Thanks again

Oh, what a pity Yeah, all my points are softcore achievements. I find them much more fun than hardcore ones. I thought I had to configure something to show one or the other Thanks for the answer
-
In the meantime, you could replace all the images in your Box Art folder (save them in backup) with all the images in your Screenshots folders. It's not the best solution, because you will lose the ability to see the box art, but until the feature exists it will at least allow you to see screenshots.

Thanks for the new update I have a minor question. RetroAchievements is back, but a line at the top of launchbox shows RetroAchievements points as 0. Do I have to configure something to show my real score? If I go to the RetroAchievements page it does show my score and not just 0, so I don't know if I have to manually tell Launchbox to check the softcore score Thanks

Hi, it's me again I'm replying here in order to not open another topic. Can you have multiple banners for a single platform? I know that in the desktop version, if you have multiple images (with -1, -2, etc...) one or the other is selected randomly. Does that work here? I have created two PSone banner but it only shows the first one always. Thanks
-
Thanks for the info But somehow, it doesn't refresh the image after I select a new one There is no Super Famicom / Super Nintendo EU banner, so I'm trying to update that image EDIT: Well, I don't know how, but I have created a folder to sort my custom images, and now it works automatically. I didn't even use the Edit Media option. I'm no good at photoshop, but I like the result, so thank you
-
In the Android version, is one of the option for standard views (its called Banners). When I select a platform, then I do use a theme (the Grid is my choice). That's why I can't find the images. There is no 'banner theme'... or I can't find it.
-
Hello I would like to ask if there is any way to edit the Platform Banner images. I want to customize them to show some of the games I like the most from each platform, but I can't find the images in any folder to modify them. To be sure, I am referring to these images: And it's not like I'm asking for any programming or for someone to do it. I would simply want to be able to edit those images myself to make them different. Thanks

Hi 5thWolf I have not been able to get the video to display on the front page. Not even close. I was able to move the 3D box to the left side rather than the right, but then instead of doing the animation of appearing from outside the screen it appeared from the middle. I was trying to change that, but still the box has a diagonal tilt in the 3D effect that looks good for its right position but it looks inverted to the left and I couldn't change that anymore. So in the end I kept it with the original design. Right now I switch between BigDetails, Omni or BigBox depending on which screen I use. BigDetails fits well with the SteamDeck because of the size I use. Omni works better for me with larger screens. If they are smaller I lose information. And I turn to BigBox when I feel like exploring the collection to discover something I'm going to start new.

Hi everyone I wanted to ask if using Lunchbox for Android register your gameplay time or that can only be done with the desktop version. I have Launchbox installed in OneDrive, so I play it in different devices (primarily I use a laptop and SteamDeck, but algo a home desktop). This way, my playtime and saves are always avaiable in all devices. I was thinking about adding also my phone to this devices, but I made a small test: after playing a game in my phone I changed to the laptop and the playcount had increased by one, but play time did not registered. Should I configure something o use any specific android theme or is just not possible? Thanks

Thanks With your help I have found where can I edit the Search box and moved it to the right so no longer overlap
