thanks, yes they are zip files with .bin files inside. on the import LB does not see any files.

Has anyone seen Bally Astrocade not importing roms. I have tried doing it by the folder and by individual roms as well but nothing shows up on the final import screen.

Got it. It was the controller setting in bigbox. had to attach a keyboard to get to it. All seem good now. Thanks for the insight.

Hello, I am using a AYA NEO handheld that emulates a xbox 360 controller. In Launchbox I can move around the screen and select games. When I am in BigBox the controller is not working. Not sure if anyone has seen this? Under Game Controllers I have XInput Xbox 360/Xbox One listed as the device and it is enabled.

I am getting a LB crash and then this error report. So far has happened about 3 times.

So it appears to happen when the startup box does not show up. Like that process is stuck or something. if I kill the LB process and restart it will work and the startup box will show then if you do a few more times it freezes like the pics above and not show the startup box.

LB freezing / unable to close have to end task. As you can see you can not click on games or the main menu. if you right click on a game it still brings up the options screen but everything is grayed out except Add / Image Group.

Ok I turned the debug logging on and was able to reproduce. Looks like when you switch between themes is causing it. just my .02 I have attached all the logs from starting LB and BB and then trying to exit. Hope this helps ? Well in beta 16 I just ran into this where after launching BigBox then closing and then trying to launch LB I get this error. As you can see in taskmgr both BB and LB are running. I have let it sit here for 30 min and still there. I will try and reproduce.

I am also noticing that 11.3 beta is sluggish compared to 11.2 when going between platforms and menu items My system specs Ryzen 3950 LB running from nvme drive 2080 Super 32gb ram

I was trying to edit a game to look at its emulator. but all of the options were grayed out and nothing else would work and I could not click off of it

I was only using LB. the network and cpu where at 0 to 1%

In testing 11.3 betas (I am on 11.3-beta 14) I have seen this issue in the last several betas where the LB would become unresponsive and you can click around but nothing works. when you right click on a game everything is grayed out and you cannot click on another system as well. All you can do is kill the LB task and start over.

@Jason Carr I updated to 10.3 and it's working now. Thanks for the fix. I did notice that if the 7z.exe is not there then LB will not start and there is no debug log written. FYI. This is in 10.2-7 and 10.3 as well. Thanks for the help

Thanks Jason, I will update again and try again. Is there a way to make sure the backup job will not auto start when I launch LB?

Hi @Jason Carr it's the Create Data Backup under tools. I can see in procmon that the 7zip under the LB dir is running and reading all files from the drive and trying put them into a zip file. I can see all the reads and creates of the files. The hd is at 100% till I kill the processes. I did hit cancel after it started but it never stopped and just hung up the LB process. Every time I restart LB it starts 7zip again and starts touching the whole drive. So I renamed 7zip and then it would not kick off. Thanks

on beta 10.2-7 after clicking on the backup function it appears that LB is trying to backup the whole drive to itself. if you hit cancel it hangs. restarting LB just starts the process over. Is there a way in a config file to stop the backup process? What should it be backing up? Thanks
