Yes, occasionally they do seem to go down, but it shouldn't last long.

I'm getting "Could not connect to TheGamesDB.net" right now but I think it's a tinywall issue. What should I whitelist to make sure launchbox can fetch this data?

Try disabling the firewall first, if it works well with the firewall disabled, just exclude all the launchbox folder.

LaunchBox uses HTTP port 80 to connect to thegamesdb.net. That's it, so it should be pretty easy to whitelist.

thegamesdb seems to be down again. I've been getting the 522 error for 2 days now. It was working so well at first. By the way their website seems to be working just fine.

Hum... so is it just me who has a problem connecting to thegamesdb.net? It's been three days now... Could it be my Windows 7 firewall? I tried putting Launchbox in the exceptions of the firewall options, but with no success. I don't know much about these things, so I guess that could be a good idea for a future tutorial video. What I don't understand is that when I installed Launchbox the first time 3 days ago, it worked like a charm!

Most likely it's TheGamesDB, not your firewall. As of late it seems to be down more often than up, unfortunately. I have no idea what's going on, and I don't see any updates from them in their social feeds. I do know they've been blaming it on "attacks", but I don't know any details. Who in their right mind would want to bring down a site like that, I have no idea. :/
