CadetStimpy
The Polycade Interestingly, the founder of this project is Nolan Bushnell's (the founder of Atari) son, although Nolan has nothing to do with the project.
DOS76
I sincerely hope that isn't what the finished project will look like it has no visual appeal to it. I do however like the form factor. Just needs some graphics and a 4th controller.
Zombeaver
I'm with @DOS76, I think it looks like crap. But hey, you can get it with graphics for...an extra $400?! Not to mention: "The Polycade uses a 28" Insignia LED TV" :( If I was going to setup an actual dedicated arcade machine, this definitely wouldn't be it. I'm having a hard time figuring out who this is for... I feel like a real enthusiast wouldn't use this thing and anyone who isn't an enthusiast wouldn't drop the amount of money they're asking... And yet...it far exceeded it's funding goals... I'm just kindof scratching my head here.
DOS76
Yeah I didn't link to even see the price. 28 inches isn't large enough in my opinion for 4 player lay out 42 inches at least. I want to see a sit down arcade bar setup with the screen back on the wall and some comfy seats to lounge in while I play. The only thing I like is how it is space saving by not being a whole cabinet.
