ALIE Posted July 27, 2016 Author Posted July 27, 2016 for the first time watching tutorials from LB i didn't get it. anyway i tried the 2014 core but im confused do i need bios i wanna play atari2500. Quote
Lordmonkus Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 While you can use Mame to emulate systems other than arcade it is a real pain in the ass, also I do not believe the Mame cores in Retroarch will do multisystem. Now you said 2500 so that is obviously a typo but did you mean 2600 or 5200 ? The 2600 is better off being emulated in Retroarch using the Stella core. The 5200 is a bit more tricky as there is no Retroarch core that does this system specifically. The easiest emulator to set up for the 5200 is Kat5200 but it can be done using Mame / Mess but in my experience with it (and other peoples around here) the results vary from game to game in terms of compatibility. Lordmonkus Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Altirra is a very good emulator but I couldn't figure out how t get it running through Launchbox (though to be fair I did not put much time and effort into it). Any tips on getting it working ? Quote
DOS76 Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 I have Altirra working in LB but it requires a game by game config to send the emulator the rom size through the commmand line. Or it did before its been awhile I'm probably on a old build now. Quote
