master333
Hi I am actually posting this so that you are aware of this potential issue. I have not tried this but just saw it and realised the possibility? When I click on my license file I see the line: False If I changed that to True would it work? I think the point is that it is irrelevant because you (Unbroken company) must have a server or a way to check on your end who has what type of license, the fact that I change mine locally then won't sync up with your information so it wouldn't work and users may even get banned, right? I notice names can be changed as well locally in the same file. Let me know your thoughts on this?
DOS76
If you change your name in that file and then restart LB it will start it without any license at all. So yeah you can change it in the XML but it breaks it at the same time so no worries.
master333
Thanks. Topic can be closed. Basically: Any changes made will send you back to the FREE version!
Jason Carr
Thanks for the heads-up @master333, but yes, any changes made to the file will disable the license. To clarify a few things, we do not talk to a server in regards to the license (there is no DRM). The license file has a bunch of encrypted stuff in it that has to match up to the clear-text details, which is how the protection mechanism works. :)
