DroidsRGod
Before I factory reset my laptop, Launchbox/Retroarch (don't know which) would save gamesaves into their specific console folder on Dropbox, even though they use the same Core Emulator. Ex. Pokemon Red would save (C:\Users\DroidsRGod\Dropbox\LaunchBox\Games\Nintendo Game Boy) & Pokemon Yellow (C:\Users\DroidsRGod\Dropbox\LaunchBox\Games\Nintendo Game Boy Color) But now I can't seem to get it to do that. I tried going on Retroarch and changed the Directory SaveFileDir but I just made a mess of it. Sorry if this sounds confusing.
Guest Kirsten Marie
Hi @DroidsRGod! I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, so further explanation may be needed. However, you could re-install Windows, back up launchBox and RetroArch, and as long as the hard drive letters and file paths stay the same, it should work just fine. By backing up D:\Emulators (assuming that contains everything you have) and restoring that folder back to your D drive, it should work immediately. Hope this helps! :)
Jason Carr
Hey @DroidsRGod, sorry for the confusion here. Unfortunately I still don't have an answer for you as I don't know how to change where Retroarch stores saved games; I thought it was somewhere in the Retroarch folder but I'm really not sure without diving in and doing more research. DroidsRGod
@Jason Carr & @Kirsten Marie I really miss having it. I used to be able to have my whole collection portable, including the .srm files. I could play on my PC and pickup on my phone where I left off. Both of these cores are GameBatte and a GB game will save in the GB folder and GBC in GBC automatically even though they use the same core. SentaiBrad
Did you tell RetroArch to handle the saves or to have the core handle the saves?
