delak94582
Hey guys, so retroarch won't run by itself. I get the windows has encountered a problem error every time I open it. All my other emulators work fine is there something specific that I need to download first? I have the right version for windows 64 so I don't know maybe this should be in a retroarch forum but I am trying to use it with launchbox. Any help would be awesome. DOS76
You have to set up RA outside of LB 1st do you have RA working on its own?
delak94582
Yeah I don't have launchbox open when I try and run it or I haven't tried importing any games with it. The exe won't even open, it starts to but then I get that windows encountered a problem message.
DOS76
Yeah what are your specs? I have 1 old laptop that it won't run on. I believe it doesn't support a high enough version of Open GL

Jason Carr
Hi @delak94582, that is unfortunately a common scenario for people. Retroarch often crashes on startup on certain systems. Things to try... - Run the latest DirectX setup - Run the latest Visual C++ redistributables (there are a few of them for various versions of Visual Studio) - Make sure you don't have it in Program Files (put it somewhere there's full write access to the folder) - Update your video drivers There's probably more, but that's what immediately comes to mind. It can unfortunately be a finicky beast.
