steam videos

Hi I download a trailer for a game in steam via launchbox when it goes to play it say its trying to play a unknown or unsupported file(can`t remember which as I chicked don't ask me again) and do you want to continue I click yes and it plays.

 

Do they play in bigbox ? as my test one does not

I hope so as it will save me a lot of work make steam videos and I can go onto the missing ones for emulators.

Sounds like the K-Lite codecs pack might fix that issue do you have it installed. I've had issue with wmp and unknown format where it would prompt but then still play. I was able to fix mine by adding codec to it.

Yep your right changed to vlc and they work fine

downloaded a codec pack for wmp but no luck with that so I may have to use vlc or convert them

Yeah, this is a known issue with the beta for the moment. Not exactly sure how we're gonna solve it.

Thank you I understand I still wanted to use media player as on my launchbox its so much more stable so just converted them only a bit bigger file size.
