Jason Carr
This is being worked on by @higan, ckp. If videos are not playing in WMP, it's relatively easy to solve this issue by installing some codecs such as the K-Lite codec pack.
ckp
I try to stay away from installing codecs. Do you think L-Lite codec pack is safe?
Jason Carr
I have used it in the past without issues, yes, but it is third party software so unfortunately I can't guarantee it either.
timekills
Can you play the offending videos in VLC outside of Launch/BigBox? I too used K-lite in the past, but over the years have also grown to prefer staying away from codec packs.

timekills
libvlccore.dll CRC32 info -from LaunchBox: C6735500 -from VLC (64 bit) 2.2.4: DD81F577 Although different, you could rename your libvlccore.dll in LaunchBox to "libvlccore.dll.old" and copy your libvlccore.dll file from VLC. I'd be interested in seeing what the CRC32 info for your LaunchBox libvlccore.dll is. Perhaps it is corrupt. ckp
No good. I tried installing a brand new LB to another drive and folder. I copied both the libvlccore.dll files to my main LB. Launching certain platforms as described in early comments causes the same exact crash of LB after LB runs the emulator.
Jason Carr
Unfortunately the issues are with the VLC integration engine, and not with VLC itself. We are working on resolving the issues.

ckp
Seems that this issue has been fixed in 6.9. Issue gone! Thanks! Using VLC again.
Jason Carr
Yup, it should be! Let me know if you see any more VLC issues.
