matebox Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Hello someone explain to me how to use the neo geo cd on retroarch ??? I heard that you can make it work ... Thank you! Quote
Charco Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 There is currently no RetroArch core that supports the Neo Geo CD. Quote
matebox Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 I knew Mame Mess included and that there is a heart mess, some say they have succeeded, but maybe it's not true .... Thank you :-) Quote
Charco Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 I would use standalone MESS right now, @SentaiBrad just put up a video tutorial on it today so you're in luck! ? Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Sir, step away from the mess that is Mess emulation through Retroarch. Just back away now, you will be much better off in your life. Trust me. 1 Quote
matebox Posted November 4, 2016 Author Posted November 4, 2016 Thanks, I'm sorry that you could not help retroarch neo geo cd .... I hope you solve the problem ... Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Oh I helped, trust me, I helped. Just stick to stand alone Mess like in Brads tutorial video. You really do not want to go down the path of emulating non arcade games through Retroarchs Mame core. 1 Quote
SentaiBrad Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Actually, for simplicity I would advise most users to go with MAME/MESS, however, I think there is a little bit of credit to be given for the MAME Core in RetroArch. I think we may be a bit harsh on it in terms of quality of emulation, but it is a bit more of a nightmare, ish. Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 It's not the emulation quality of the Mame core in Retroarch that is the problem, it's the awful mess of setting it all up and getting it to actually work in the first place for non arcade systems. The actual folder structure and file naming is an awful nightmare, it makes getting Mess on its own a cakewalk in comparison. Quote
matebox Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 Thank you :-)I have a problem when I try to add MESS emulators can not find it ... why?Thank you! :-) Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Ok first off did you install and configure Mess ? If you did, did you add it to your emulators list in Launchbox ? Quote
matebox Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 Yes, but when I add in the list of MESS emulators it is not present ....strange??? Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Is it in the list when you go to the "Manage Emulators" window ? Quote
matebox Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 No shows only the list that I sent photos MESS do not makes me manually add ... :-( Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 In the Manage Emulators window add Mess like you would any other emulator. Quote
matebox Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 The problem is that nothing appears in the associated platforms? Why? Thank you! Quote
Lordmonkus Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Because you need to add the platforms you want Mess to be associated with. Quote
matebox Posted November 5, 2016 Author Posted November 5, 2016 ok!now it works before you have to put the emulator and after the nom mess ... :-) How do I add HLSL filters of mess? Thank you! Quote
