lilkuz2005
Hello all, i have been working on this project for a while now. The cabinet was free from a friend that owns a gaming company. The game was playing blind, meaning you could hear sounds but the monitor was dead, so i decided to gut it and convert it to something a bit more modern and have the option of more then 1 game to play. I ordered the monitor a couple years ago, its a benq 27" 1080p monitor, looks really clean and sharp, i got a really good deal on the monitor from amazon.com. All of the hardware in the PC build are old spare parts of mine from older rigs, i wanted to build my own open air chassis for the pc parts in the build to free up a spare case as well as make it easier to work on and swap parts when needed, the controls used were purchased from ebay in a kit, its using 2 sanwa sticks and the buttons are sanwa style but are a little stiff, i may end up changing these some day, i still have lots of work to do before the cab is finished but im hoping to get more done this summer Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-z77M-D3H-MVP CPU : Intel i5 3570k 4.0ghz RAM: 8gb 1600mhz DDR3 GPU: MSi 4g gaming GTX980 PSU: coolermaster 600watt silent pro SSD-HDD: 120gb samsung 840, 1tb WD hdd dual band wireless and bluetooth adapter i still need to mount the monitor, scrape the stock moves list paint from the original glass, do some body work, order t-molding and a bit, modify my control panel with a sliding keyboard / mouse drawer, order some acrylic for the control panel, pic some side art and jazz up the marquee, figure out what option im going to use for sound, right now im using some logitech 5.1 computer speakers and i really have no way of mounting them, im also going to run some wires and a switch from the coin door to the control panel so i can switch the insert coin buttons to coin door only when i want to play a game on 50 cents and see how far i can make it,
Retro808
That's looking good. LaunchBox/BigBox has revitalized my itch for emulation so my daughter and I are redoing our 7 year old cab. Thanks for sharing!
