Custom Themes

Hi Sorry to bother people again

I cant  get downloaded custom themes to work

iv followed on screen instructions but i cant get them to work

2 ive tried are City Hunter and Retrofresh

Well we need more info then that@johnnyskullhead in order to help you.

Extract the zip file to a folder. Move that folder to the theme folder of your launchbox installation. Do not change the name of the folder.

That's pretty much it. After that make sure you select the theme in the options.

if ive installed retrofresh correctly what should happen ?

i thought there would be some kind of video

Okay, let's take a step back:

1. Does BigBox start up okay for you?

2. Can you use the pre-installed default theme?

3. Can you use CriticalCid's theme, also pre-installed?

Big Box starts fine

I can do some tweaks

not sure what default theme should look like ?

I will try CriticalCids  does that include video ?

There is a demo video on the criticalcid download page. You shouldn't have to actually download the criticalcid theme as it is bundled with BigBox.

When you say video, do you mean video snaps of games or platform videos? The platform videos can be downloaded from within LaunchBox. Game video snaps can be downloaded from emumovies, for which you need a subscription. You can also find and download some game video snaps in the LaunchBox forums.

Basically, themes specify how your game info is displayed. The themes do not generally supply a lot of media such as images or videos; you have to supply those yourself.

Can you post a screenshot of what your install of BigBox looks like when running?

Great, glad you got it. The arcade lists are something I've not yet tried. May I suggest a forum search? I'd imagine a video would come out about that soon.
