Hank7_98
How does the Marquee naming structure work exactly? For all systems I have a "Platforms" section for main system images/videos but not one for Marquee... Do I name a System Marquee ie: Nintendo Entertainment System, "Nintendo Entertainment System" and put it in the Marquee folder? Also, are they named by the rom name for individual games because when downloaded names are not the same as the rom?
Retro808
For platform images I believe they go in the "banner" folder under the platforms level "/Launchbox/images/platforms/<system name>/banner" and I believe can be named anything as long as it is in that folder. You can have the marquee rotate through images when you cycle back to the platform by naming the images ending in "*-01.png", "*-02.png" and so on. The marquee for each game I believe could be named in several ways to match your library/rom name and go in the "marquee" folder of the system. Here is a post on Media File Naming. edited to correct a misunderstanding after I read the above link. Yeah, I just wish there was it's own folder so, for example I could have the system picture as the banner and a crisp logo as the marquee... Or vice versa. I realize it's new, just didn't know if there was a way to number that or if I could create a new folder "Marquee" under the individual platforms. Retro808
I may be wrong on this but I think the issue really is how a theme is set up to use the image folders. In each platform there is a "device" folder and a "banner" folder. I would assume you could place the system picture in device folder and marquee pic in the banner folder. As long as a theme is built to utilize those folders then it would display I think the way you are wanting. I think the functionality is there just the theme needs to make use of it. I am sure the experts will correct me if wrong.
Hank7_98
That make sense... Thanks for the info. Do you know of any themes utilizing this?
