latin625
Hi, As I plow on with RetroArch, can someone help me in core config loads? Every time I play a core from RetroArch, It only loads the default Retroarch.cfg file instead of the config for each core. Can anyone provide guidance? Thanks! Lordmonkus
-L "cores\mupen64plus_libretro.dll" -c "config\Nintendo64.cfg" There is an example command line that would put in the Associated Platforms section for your Retroarch emulator. Just modify the path to the config you are using for the core you want to use it after.

Lordmonkus
Yes, just replace the core with the core you are using and replace the .cfg with the one you want to have load.

latin625
Hi, I have a new question about cores. I have some files that are .smc and not recognized by retroarch. They are true SNES games, but imports and hacks. Can I get retroacrch to recognize them and play them? They play fine in SNES but would love to use retroarch. Lordmonkus
If by "not recognized" by the Retroarch playlist scanner then don't worry about it, the game will still load unless it is a rom that is bad or maybe a hack that uses a specific emulator and is not supported by the core. Lordmonkus
Does your retroarch command line point to the SNES core that you are actually using ?

Lordmonkus
Put a space before the -c after the close quote on the core name.

latin625
Yes sir!
Lordmonkus
Ok then you may have just run into one of the few games not compatible with that core. Sometimes certain hacks can require a specific emulator that has a special function the hack needs to function.
latin625
Cool! It works, but only in SNES. Trying to get to the config of the emulator now. F1, nothing. lol

latin625
Thanks! Learned how to add shaders to snes using your past help. Made that game use a different emulator via Launchbox.
Lordmonkus
If want to maintain using Retroarch try loading the game using the Snes9x core. Edit the game and go to the Emulation tab, under the choose emulator you can turn on "use custom command line parameters". In there you can put the -l and -c commands that would normally be in the Associated Platforms section.
