Custom Background/Theme for every platform?

Hi there so i have a question, i want to make a code where it will show a background of that specific console, instead of just a video. So like a NES Background when you select the NES. If anyone could help me out that would be great.

I think a similar questions / requests have been made previously for per platform themes / images but haven't seemed to got any traction or meaningful responses, recently, as far as I can see. Although at one point it looked it like it was coming..

That was nearly a year ago now. 

It's unfortunate, as I also think would be an excellent feature. I hope some other people will help us get some movement to get this feature in development.
