reaper71129 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 do we have a video yet on the bulk rom location tool... the reason i'm asking is that i have the roms for my arcade stuff in different locations depending on if it is model 2, model 3, mame .. etc... if i use that on arcade games will it mess them up? everything other than arcade is grouped in folders and easy to fix. Lordmonkus Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 If your roms are in their own folders and games in their own platforms in Launchbox this isn't a problem. Quote
reaper71129 Posted March 8, 2018 Author Posted March 8, 2018 i have daphne in it's own folder, mame in another folder, model 2 in another folder and etc.... but in lauchbox they are all under arcade... with only the playlist being different... did i do it wrong? Quote
Lordmonkus Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 I'm hesitant to say you did it wrong but I would say I would have done it differently and kept them separate unless they are using the same emulator. Quote
DOS76 Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 I have Model 2, 3, Naomi, Naomi 2, Capcom 1, 2, 3, NeoGeo all as their own platforms and scrape them as arcade. There really is no right or wrong way Quote

reaper71129 Posted March 8, 2018 Author Posted March 8, 2018 i use autocad for a living... and i'm thinking launchbox is similar... 10 ways to do the same thing... lol Quote
Lordmonkus Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 lol, well like @DOS76 said, there really is no right or wrong way of doing it if it works, it's just a matter of how to deal with the issues such as this as they arise. Like I said, I like to keep systems separated if they are using a different emulator and the rom files are separated. Quote
reaper71129 Posted March 8, 2018 Author Posted March 8, 2018 you way works better and easier to manage. and i think it's a pretty easy fix. i think i mame is the platform but since model 2 and etc use different emulator and are only small amount of games, i had them on a per game basis... i should be able to grab them per playlist and change the platform that way ... i think...thanks alot... yall guys rock!!!!
