Lordmonkus Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Over the years some older information here on the forums has become outdated and incorrect due to changes in Launchbox or emulators themselves. If anyone comes across any information that is now incorrect please help us out by posting a link to the incorrect info in this thread. If you can also provide the correct up to date information I will do my best to either update the incorrect info with a correction or mark it as incorrect or obsolete. 2 Quote
Lordmonkus Posted April 16, 2020 Author Posted April 16, 2020 Yeah, like my original post stated, if anyone comes across an information that is incorrect or outdated let me know. Make a post here to the link and I will remove it or correct it, I really can't be bothered to go back and recheck every single sticky or post made to make sure it's still relevant. Quote
X1pheR Posted July 4, 2022 Posted July 4, 2022 This is obsolete now right? Since we have the fullset importer. Quote

Coupled with the fact that (8 years later) its' download link is no longer even available, 'No harm. No foul'. 1 Quote
raritynine Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Is this the place for incorrect information in the games database? If not pls redirect me. In games database > Platforms > Coleco ADAM Its described as an "expansion for the colecovision (Port3)" Actually there were two versions of the Coleco ADAM, Expansion Module #3 for the Colecovision and secondly a standalone computer with had a built in Colecovision. The term "Port 3" is not correct. YOu indicate max controllers = 1. Not correct, there are two joystick ports. In the description section you refer to "an expansion unit" allowing the addition of a 2nd cassette deck or a floppy" This is technically incorrect. Every ADAM came with 2 digital data drive bays, of which one was populated in the stock version but the user could purchase a 2nd digital data drive for the 2nd open bay. No expansion unit was necessary. Also floppy drives were simply connected by a supplied "ADAMNet" cable to the memory console - again no expansion unit existed or was required for this. In games database > Platforms > Colecovision In the description section the link "see more" only produces an error message in Chrome and Firefox (The page isn’t redirecting properly) In the Colecovision games section > Fireman The publishers is indicated as Collectorvision Games - actually the game was first published by David Hill who goes by the user name "Coleconut" on Atariage. He found the prototype in 2009, had it dumped, had a small selection of carts produced, had the ideas for artwork for the label and game box then commisioned the design to Chris Coles, David assembled the carts and boxes, authored all the text on the box, marketed and shipped the game. several years later, he sold the prototype to Collectorvision who then republished the game with a different box. All of this can be easily verified on Atariage.. Quote
Bucky Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Got one for ya. Shoutout to @JoeViking245 ! This person did me a solid by getting me thoroughly set up with Demul. The tutorial Joe provided was concise and easy to follow. Well done! That said, though, I have an additional suggestion of my own! After initial setup ofc. Once importing is done, make certain there's a primary/single Demul emulator listed with all of the command-line parameters laid out like so: Check Default Emulator if you wish to make Demul your main, and make sure that Extract ROMs stays unchecked. In the Details section, make sure your (Demul) emulator is named, point the Application Path to demul.exe, Remember to check Remove file extension and folder path and Remove space before ROM. Now that we’ve finished installing Demul Prime, here’s my nuanced tip: Delete all other instances of Demul i.e. Demul - Naomi Cartridge System, Demul - Naomi GDROM, Demul - Atomiswave, etc. This reduces clutter, creates a cleaner UI for quicker access to your apps, and most importantly, your Demul ROMs will continue to run as usual while staying organized under the platform sections you’ve created using Demul Game Importer. I hope this helps—just my way of giving back to the community! ✌️ Edited 22 hours ago by Bucky 1 Quote
