Typhon Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 (edited) I noticed that in 8.3, the ability was added to choose a core after choosing 'Launch with...', and then RetroArch. My question is, how do you specify multiple cores? For example, for the NES platform, sometimes I'll find a game that the 'mesen' core does not work with, and it would be ideal to use the 'FCEUMM' or even the 'NEStopia' core, but I can't figure out how to do this. I have Mesen as the default core, and it's the only option listed. Any help would be most appreciated. Edited July 22, 2018 by Typhon Quote
DOS76 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 you have to add the 2nd and all sub sequential cores after that to the associated platform area when you edit the emulator. 1 Quote
Typhon Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 Thanks for the reply, I'm still stuck though. I tried as you suggested but I just get a drop down menu with the option of choosing a single core. Here's a pic: I'm using version 8.3 also. Quote
neil9000 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 I think he is saying add another Nintendo Entertainment System entry and use a different core. Its not something i have ever used or tried but i would think thats how you do it. 1 Quote
Typhon Posted July 22, 2018 Author Posted July 22, 2018 I was just getting ready to post that same answer. It works, thanks for your help guys. Quote
neil9000 Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 Also to add to that you dont even have to use the launch with. You can right click a game, edit, go to the emulation tab and put the command line for a different core in there, so it will load with the other core by default. 2 Quote
