How to split a romset ?

Hi

Since Launchbox Next was released my system is very slow especially on systems with a lot of Iso's/roms

want to split my PSX Iso's because I have got nearly 4000 and its really struggling any ideas how if possible to split in two or more sections, but still be able to use same emulators etc

 

is there a way to split or is it something to be considered in future to split like mame does now ??

You can break them up however you want into new separate platforms and just assign the same emulator to those platforms or you can break them up via playlists.

Also nested folders for more organizational options are coming.

if i break them up

can they still be classed as Playstation or do i have to change emulator name

i  thought Launchbox knows when a format is created and you recreate it says it exists ?

The emulator is the same, you can assign an emulator to more than 1 platform. Just the platform name or playlist name will be different.

Yes. You can only have a platform name once. You can have the same emulator for more than one platform but a platform name can only be used once in Launchbox. 

Nested folders will hopefully be soon. It is on the list of things Jason is/will add from the last poll.
