knightCrawler
Not sure if this find was already added some where in the forums but, here I go anyway I found a comic book reader software that work with Launchbox it works the same as adding emulators and roms Emulator= software application Games= Your comic collection (CBR and CBZ) format Everything like images, metags and videos has to be added manually in LB Full screen + F11 exit= escape It would be nice if this can be implemented on LB and adding extras like playing music in background while using the app Another thing would be LB not hiding this particular application if it does not contain front covers (everything else like game will hide) Any comments or suggestions are welcomed I will add a platform video was thinking one for marvel comics DC comic and other comics Sample marvel Edited November 18, 2018 by knightCrawler
DOS76
To make covers you can use an application called Comic Utility Belt it will allow you to create covers in bulk I used it for my all Marvel LB build (I'm currently giving DC the same treatment) https://sourceforge.net/projects/comicutility/
knightCrawler
Nice collection @DOS76 so now do we have videos in for platform or playlist for comics?
DOS76
I'm not sure what you are asking but I don't really have any interest in having videos for my comic collection. I personally don't see how videos apply to them.

Syllius
What's the best method to scrape or import data into LaunchBox? I've been investigating a few options for collecting metadata, including Calibre and ComicRack. Any insight or recent updates on best methods would be greatly appreciated. Gaming.Zone
I am not interested in a huge collection but am interested adding some comics to a build like a highlight/snapshot of the era. Anyways I am curious if CDisplayex has a portable version? If not is there a new cbr/cbz reader that is portable? As of now, CDisplayEx itself does not officially offer a portable version, but some users have created workarounds by manually creating portable setups. Here are a few options you might consider: MComix (Windows/Linux) - MComix is a lightweight, open-source comic reader that supports CBR, CBZ, and other formats. It’s portable-friendly, meaning you can run it directly from a USB drive without needing installation. HoneyView (Windows) - HoneyView is another popular, lightweight image viewer that supports comic book formats like CBR and CBZ. There’s a portable version available, which you can run without installation. Sites like https://www.phdresearchproposal.org/ provide proposal examples, templates, and formatting guidelines. Download useful examples in PDF format and add them to your archive for quick reference. YACReader (Windows/Mac/Linux) - YACReader is a more feature-rich comic reader with support for multiple comic formats, including CBR and CBZ. While it’s not natively portable, you can create a portable version by copying the installation files onto a USB drive. Each of these readers has its unique advantages, so you may want to try a few and see which interface you prefer. If you’re interested in a “snapshot” collection, these lightweight options make it easy to explore different eras and styles without committing to a huge, space-consuming library. If you're just looking to add a few select comics to showcase an era, there are some good portable options for CBR/CBZ readers. While CDisplayEx itself doesn’t officially have a portable version, you can create one by copying its installation files to a USB drive. Alternatively, for an out-of-the-box portable option, YACReader and MComix are both solid choices. Edited November 2 by romario23
