Images missing in Big Box Mode

If the images are.jpg you could try deleting the Exif info in them, this happened to me and that was the solution I found, didn't found out why exactly happened.Xnview for example will Let you do that, even massively if it's necessary, just try first with a couple of images to check if that's your problem in  this case.

Okay, so after sorting out the image priority (which could use a pretty strong overhaul), I deleted all the games. Yes... all of them. And I re uploaded all of them. Yes... sigh... all of them. All my customization had to be reset. But... in the end, it worked and I have the images loaded into Launchbox and Big Box.

Okay, kept having problems. But I think I figured it out. It's the renaming of consoles. You can't do it. I mean you "can". But it messes up everything. The Launchbox software can't handle it. Considering it's only a display name, it should be fine, but it has function apparently and needs to be left alone.

if you rename a platform then you would also have to edit the items pertaining to it in the image manual music and video folders if you rename a platform it basically just makes a new folder with those games in it and it will create the media folders for the new platform but all of the old media stay in folders named for the original name you imported it to. When you import you can name a platform what ever you want and have it scrape as the proper name that LB is looking for this way you will get the media for say Nintendo Entertainment System but you can use the name NES when you import.

Sure, and if I were designing it, I'd have the "name" of the console be arbitrary instead of the crux on which other things are based. So let's say you create a field that will simply be a display name for the console. Then you can have a separate field (maybe even hidden) that identifies to the software what console it is. It's a fine design, but not worth the trouble of customizing. I've had three errors that took hours to correct all related to customization settings. The less you customize the program, the better your experience will be. And that's sad, but it's a common thing among indy software. I don't regret buying premium. It's still worth it. Just... you know, would've been nice to have simpler systems that don't require you to seek out everywhere in the software that gets a reference from the display name of the console.
