Help with FBA

Hi, I'm having trouble with FBA in launchbox. There isn't a command line in the box where you edit it, but this window keeps popping up every single time I try to play an arcade game. Anybody know how to fix this?

Yeah, that clearly says that it is trying to load a game called "A" there is no such game so that aint gonna work. FBA uses mame roms which are zipped and have a short name for the file.

The "A" is supposed to be for the Arcade games folder

What rom set is the rom for ? While FBA supports some roms from the Mame set it doesn't support all of them, that is what that error message looks like.

Here's dodonpachi which works for both mame and fba. Yet it still pops this up.

Well thats a different path than the error you are getting, the error says Launchbox/Games/A, where as the actual game says Launchbox/Games/Arcade, which is correct?

Yeah im at a bit of a loss here then, i have never used fba personally so i really dont no if it needs any additional settings or not. It's possible it needs a specific commandline or different boxes checked/unchecked in the manage emulators screen. Also i assume the games work directly in fba without going through Launchbox?

Have you tried using the fba core in retroarch at all?

I would try playing with the check boxes in the Edit Emulator window of your FBA entry in LB. Here is a shot of my Mame emulator entry, i'd imagine FBA probably wants something similar.

However, ASO looks kinda funny.....

Good to hear.

You may have to tinker with some of the video settings, it's been several years since I have used the stand alone version of FBA, I use either the FBA core in Retroarch or most often I use stand alone Mame.
