tallpr24 Posted December 12, 2019 Author Posted December 12, 2019 do i have to do this for each game? i was told the rom set i have has the whdload.hdf built into them. ?? Quote
kev25b Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 no... it is one file you have to put into you retroarch system folder Quote
tallpr24 Posted December 13, 2019 Author Posted December 13, 2019 thank you all , i got it all sorted out, nearvanaman nudge me in the right direction with a better rom set and i had to change 2 setting in the core settings. i had to turn off the following because they were on by default: "use whdload.hdf" and "use whdload.prefs" also change the system from auto to a1200 (2mb chip + 8mb Fast). I Grabbed the rom hdf set from ransom (which is on back-ups) created a HDF from RetroPlay's WHDLOAD collection - and it has the Kickstarts built in. 1 Quote
tallpr24 Posted December 18, 2019 Author Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) got this to work using retroarch with the following parameters: big thanks to nearvanaman for finding this for me. Use the VICE xplus4 core, load a game, go to Core Options and select the following model I closed content, restarted and it loaded. Edited December 18, 2019 by tallpr24 Quote
