if he is getting a corrupted settings error I'm assuming he can't start the program so it had to be closed. If it isn't recreating the file that is not normal. I would try installing LB to a new folder then copy of your data folder and start the program if it shows your games then close it and copy over your images manuals videos and other relevant folders.

Well, yeah that would make sense wouldn't it....LOL. My bad. ?

Can I ask something? Does the Settings xml file in the data folder get recreated by Launchbox if deleted if you restart Launchbox?

Yes, that is what we have been saying all along, if it's missing at launch a new default is created.

Launchbox is not creating a new settings xml in data folder when being deleted and restarting Launchbox.

In a completely different folder can you download a fresh install of Launchbox? If you have not tried that yet, would you give that a try and report back.

You may have something worse going on than a corrupt xml file.

You are either 1, not doing what you are told.

or 2, being a massive tool.
