LaunchBox won't open (first install)

Hi. I've been using the free recalbox on a pi for years without issue. Today I decided to download LaunchBox after seeing ETA Prime recommend it. I bought the lifetime license, downloaded it to a windows 7 laptop, installed. Now when I try to open it, the program crashes. A windows dialogue box says:

"LaunchBox has stopped working."

And that's it.

I'm running Windows 7, service pack 1, Microsoft says newest direct x already installed, have .net framework 4.8.

Program installed in C:/users/lenovo/launchbox

I'd like to give more information, but don't know what else I can say. Happy to answer any questions and hope I can get this running.

Hi and sorry for the issues you are experiencing here.

That specific issue is in fact a .NET error. So i would try repairing your .NET install.
