moving to a different drive

I want to move my launch box collection to a another drive that im gonna get thats like a usb 8TB or whatevers. BUT. Im wondering one more thing, If all of my launch box games are in the launch box folder. (Which they are.) Then wolud the directorys get messed up therfore i have to reimport all my games because the games wolud be in the same folders kinda but not the same drive?

also if i move my gamecube and wii games. Do i need to move the dolphin folder thats in my documents folder too?

to be more specific the folder that stores stuff like the memory cards.

LB uses relative paths in most scenarios so the drive letter wouldn't matter

so no matter what hardrive or ssd or whatevers my roms are in. the dircetory stuff for the roms wont get messed up as long as there in the same folders?

if your roms are located inside of the LaunchBox Games folder then your build should be totally portable. Also if your roms are outside of the LB folder but on the same drive as the LB build then the same should apply as long as you are keeping your ROMs and LB on the same drive and finally if your LB build and your ROMs are on different drives and your move your ROMs to a new drive then you have to just make sure that you give that drive the identical drive letter and keep the same exact folder structure then that will still work. Its actually pretty hard to mess it up.

Worst case scenario, just rename the drive letter to what it currently is.

wait a minute what about that dolphin folder thats in the documents folder (that contains stuff like memory cards) that i also talked about in this topic.

what about it? Is it still going to be in the same place if so the emulator will keep using that location the same as before

I just realized something. If the worst case scenario happens and i have to change my drive letter in order for my roms to work. Then would the steam directory stuff get messed up cause i do also have steam and because the directory are atached to drive letters or whatevers?
